About the Liemke Luchs Series

The Liemke Luchs series is LIEMKE’s family of pre-mounted thermal imaging devices, developed for hunters who want thermal capability in a compact clip-on format rather than a dedicated thermal riflescope. The range currently includes the LUCHS-1, LUCHS-2 and LUCHS-25.1, with each model tuned for a different style of hunting ground. Across the family, the design focus is consistent: practical field use, intuitive controls and a combination of broad situational awareness with useful long-range reach.

All LUCHS models are developed and manufactured in Germany and are intended for use both as riflescope clip-ons and handheld units. The series includes memory slots for settings for three different optics, which is useful for hunters who move the device between rifles or sight setups. The family also offers five color modes together with Sun and Rain image modes for contrast balancing in changing conditions. The combination of a 50.00 mm objective lens, F 1.0 aperture and a 640x512 VOx uncooled sensor is aimed at pulling in more thermal detail at distance, which is exactly what matters when scanning open fields, edges and long lanes after dark.

The sensor’s 12.00 μm pixel pitch and 50.00 Hz refresh rate help maintain a clean, fluid image when tracking moving game or panning across large areas. A stated 2500.00 m detection range underlines the model’s role as a device for long-distance observation rather than only short-range spotting.
