Levenhuk Karma PRO 12x50

• 12x50 configuration: The combination of 12x magnification and 50 mm objectives brings distant detail closer while still gathering enough light for observation in poor weather, at dusk, or across open terrain.
• Roof prism construction: The Schmidt/Pechan roof prism layout keeps the binoculars slimmer than a comparable Porro design, making them easier to pack for travel and more comfortable to carry on long walks.
• Fully multi-coated optics: Full multi-coating helps improve light transmission and contrast, which makes fine detail easier to pick out against foliage, rock, or low-contrast backgrounds.
• Waterproof, nitrogen-filled body: A sealed housing with nitrogen filling resists internal fogging and handles rain, damp air, and temperature changes more confidently in the field.
• Close focus and user adjustment: A 2.50 m close focus, -3 / +3 diopter adjustment, and adjustable interpupillary distance help the binoculars adapt to different users and observation distances without fuss.

About the Levenhuk Karma Pro Series

Levenhuk Karma Pro sits at the top end of the Karma binocular family and is aimed at travelers, outdoor enthusiasts, and professional users who want a compact roof-prism format without giving up practical field performance. The series combines a wide field of view with a short close-focus distance, which makes it suitable for scanning broad landscapes one moment and observing nearby subjects the next. Across the range, Levenhuk uses roof prisms and four-element eyepieces to keep the binoculars streamlined while maintaining a controlled, easy-to-view image.

The series also stands out for its use of BaK-4 glass and full multi-coating, a combination chosen to support brightness, contrast, and cleaner edge definition in everyday outdoor use. Every model is built around a waterproof, nitrogen-filled body with protective rubber armor, reflecting a design approach focused on portability and weather resistance rather than bulk. Within Levenhuk’s binocular lineup, Karma Pro models are the compact all-weather option for users who want more refinement than an entry-level travel binocular but still prefer a shape that is easy to carry in the field.

About the Levenhuk Karma PRO 12x50

Levenhuk Karma PRO 12x50 is the long-reach model in the series, built for users who need more image scale for distant wildlife, shoreline observation, mountain routes, or general long-distance outdoor viewing. Its 12x magnification gives a clear advantage when detail matters at range, while the 50 mm objective lenses provide the light-gathering ability needed to keep the image useful in overcast conditions and during the later part of the day. The 4.17 mm exit pupil helps balance magnification and brightness, making this model a practical choice for observation rather than just occasional spotting.

The optical system uses a roof - Schmidt/Pechan prism design and fully multicoated lenses, which support a compact shape and help preserve contrast when viewing subjects against mixed backgrounds. A field of view of 82.08 m/1000m is controlled rather than extra wide, which suits the binocular’s higher magnification and encourages more deliberate observation of distant subjects. The 14.00 mm eye relief offers a usable viewing position, while the central focusing system allows quick refocusing as distances change. For fine tuning, the right eyepiece carries the diopter adjustment, and the binocular accommodates a 56.00 mm to 74.00 mm interpupillary range.

Mechanically, this model is made for outdoor use. The waterproof, fogproof, nitrogen-filled body is better suited to changing weather and temperature shifts than an unsealed binocular, and the single-hinge body keeps the shape compact for a 12x50. At 1100.00 g, it has the mass expected of a high-aperture binocular, which can also help the view feel steadier during careful handheld observation.

About Levenhuk

Levenhuk began operations in 2002, initially focusing on markets outside the United States. The company describes itself as an American manufacturer of optical instruments with headquarters in Tampa, Florida, while stating that its manufacturing facilities are in China. Its catalog covers a broad spread of observation equipment, including binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, monoculars, and microscopes, which gives the brand a wide base in consumer and enthusiast optics.

Within sport optics, Levenhuk maintains several binocular families, including Atom, Karma, Sherman, and Vegas, each aimed at a different balance of size, durability, and optical refinement. The company also extends into more specialized devices such as Fatum thermal scopes and Halo and Atom Digital night-vision devices. That breadth is relevant here because it shows Levenhuk’s focus on practical field observation tools, from compact daytime binoculars to electronic optics designed for low-light and thermal imaging applications.
