Holosun MP3X

• 3x fixed prism system: Adds useful magnification for clearer target identification and more precise shot placement at intermediate distances while keeping handling faster and simpler than a variable-power optic.
• Etched BDC reticle: The reticle remains visible even if illumination is off, and the built-in holdover references help with quicker distance compensation on practical rifle setups.
• Red and green illumination: Two illumination colors make it easier to choose the reticle appearance that stands out best against the target and ambient light conditions.
• Astigmatism-friendly prism design: A prism optic gives many shooters a sharper aiming point than a standard red dot, reducing blur and improving confidence in the sight picture.
• Compact 7075-T6 aluminum construction: The short, lightweight body keeps the rifle balanced and maneuverable while still providing the strength needed for hard field or range use.

About the MP3X Series

The Holosun MP3X series sits in the brand’s prism sight lineup as a compact magnified option for shooters who want more precision than a non-magnified reflex sight can offer, but without moving to a larger traditional riflescope. It is aimed at users building practical tactical optics or hunting optics setups on modern sporting rifles, especially where speed at closer distances still matters.

The series is built around a fixed 3x prism optical system, combining a compact footprint with an etched reticle that stays usable even without illumination. That makes the platform especially relevant for shooters who prefer a crisp reticle image and for those who find conventional projected dots less clean because of astigmatism. The MP3X concept also emphasizes durability, with an aluminum housing, sealed construction, and a format that fits naturally on Picatinny-equipped carbines and rifles.

Rather than focusing on maximum magnification, the series is designed around practical engagement distances, fast target acquisition, and a clear sight picture. Dual-color illumination, diopter adjustment, and a broad field of view make the MP3X family a straightforward prism solution for general-purpose rifle use.

About the Holosun MP3X

The Holosun MP3X is a 3x fixed-magnification prism sight built for shooters who want a compact optic that improves target definition without adding the size and complexity of a variable-power scope. On a carbine or rifle, that extra magnification helps separate targets from background detail and supports more deliberate aiming at intermediate distances, while the short 80.00 mm body keeps the setup compact and easy to handle.

Its etched BDC reticle is one of the model’s most practical features. Because the aiming pattern is etched into the optic, it remains visible even when illumination is not in use. The BDC layout adds holdover references that can speed up aiming corrections at changing distances, making the MP3X well suited to general-purpose rifle work where shots are not always taken at a single known range. The selectable red and green illumination gives the user flexibility to choose the reticle color that appears clearest in different backgrounds and lighting.

The prism design also brings a sharper reticle image for many shooters who struggle with dot distortion. A ±3 D diopter adjustment helps fine-tune reticle focus to the eye, while the 65.00 mm eye relief supports a practical, repeatable shooting position. With its 7075-T6 aluminum housing, IPX-7 waterproofing, fogproof and shockproof construction, the MP3X is built for field conditions as well as regular range use.

About Holosun

Holosun develops sights, lasers, and illumination systems for shooting, hunting, law enforcement, and military use. The company says it has worked on optics and laser and infrared technologies since 2013, and it is headquartered in California while using a global manufacturing network.

Holosun is known for integrating practical electronic and optical features into compact sighting systems. Its technologies include Shake Awake, Solar Failsafe, and the Multi-Reticle System, all of which reflect the brand’s focus on fast-ready optics with useful field features. In its product history, Holosun identifies the 403 Series as its starting product line in 2015, followed by later expansions into reflex sights, pistol optics, and laser products.
