HI VIZ LiteWave Front Sight, Novak 1911

• Interchangeable LitePipes: The front sight accepts replaceable fiber-optic LitePipes, so the sight picture can be tuned for different lighting conditions or personal preference without replacing the whole sight.
• LiteWave exoskeleton design: The diagonal-wave steel housing exposes more of the fiber to ambient light while shielding it from impact, giving a brighter aiming reference with better durability for daily carry or range use.
• Novak 1911 fit: Built for a Novak style dovetail, this front sight is intended for compatible 1911 pistols and offers a practical upgrade for shooters who want a more visible front sight than a plain black blade.
• All-steel construction: The steel body provides the rigidity and wear resistance expected on a hard-use handgun sight, helping it stand up to repeated holstering and regular firing.
• Fixed front sight format: A fixed design keeps the setup simple and robust, making it well suited to defensive handguns, training pistols, and general-purpose 1911 use where fast acquisition matters more than adjustment complexity.

About the Hi Viz LITEWAVE Series

Hi Viz LITEWAVE is a handgun and rifle sight family built around interchangeable LitePipes and a distinctive diagonal-wave exoskeleton that both protects the fiber and leaves more of it exposed to ambient light. Introduced in November 2014, the series was developed for shooters who want a brighter, easier-to-pick-up sight picture than a conventional plain blade, while keeping the sight compact enough for holsters and practical field use. Across the range, LITEWAVE models are used for competition, recreation, education, hunting, daytime use, and low-light use.

The series includes front and rear configurations for handguns as well as rifle-sight variants, giving shooters a consistent sight concept across different platforms. Its removable LitePipes let users change sight color rather than being locked into one setup, which is useful when a green front works best outdoors but another color stands out better on an indoor range. In practical terms, the LITEWAVE approach focuses on a clear front-sight reference, durable steel construction, and a shape that balances visibility with everyday handling.

About the HI VIZ LiteWave Front Sight, Novak 1911

The HI VIZ LiteWave Front Sight, Novak 1911 is a dedicated fiber-optic front sight for 1911 pistols cut for a Novak style dovetail .330" x .075" x 65º. Its role is straightforward but important: it gives the shooter a brighter, more immediate front reference, which helps the eye settle on the front sight faster during presentation, transitions, and follow-up shots. On a 1911 used for range work, practical shooting, or general carry, that clearer front blade can make sight alignment feel quicker and less fatiguing than with a plain steel front.

The sight uses the LiteWave exoskeleton with interchangeable LitePipes, combining visibility with protection. The wave-shaped housing allows more light to reach the fiber, while the steel body helps guard it from knocks during holstering or routine handling. Because the LitePipes are replaceable, the sight can be set up with green, red, or white elements to suit background contrast and shooter preference instead of forcing one permanent color choice.

This model is an all-steel, fixed front sight with a 0.090 LitePipe diameter and a listed sight color of green. That makes it especially suitable for shooters who want a durable 1911 front sight upgrade without adding adjustment mechanisms or extra bulk. The result is a simple, robust aiming solution that emphasizes fast front-sight acquisition and practical day-to-day usability on compatible Novak-cut 1911 pistols.
