Henneberger HMS 2 Sight mount for Zeiss Compact Point, 26 mm

• 26 mm scope-tube fit: This HMS 2 Sight mount clamps directly to a 26 mm riflescope tube, adding a compact red-dot position without changing the main optic setup.
• Zeiss Compact Point interface: The mount is built for the Zeiss Compact Point mounting standard, giving a correct and secure platform for this sight footprint.
• Steel construction: A steel body adds rigidity and wear resistance, which matters on hunting and sporting rifles where repeatable alignment is more important than saving a few grams.
• Low added weight: At 100.00 g, the mount adds useful sighting flexibility without making the rifle noticeably front- or top-heavy.
• German-made mounting solution: Made in Germany, this mount reflects Henneberger’s focus on precisely machined optic-mount components for practical field use.

About the HMS 2 Sight Series

The Henneberger HMS 2 Sight series is designed for shooters who want to add a compact reflex sight directly to a riflescope rather than replace their primary optic. Within Henneberger’s mounting range, this series sits as a practical bridge between traditional scope mounting and fast secondary sighting solutions. The concept is straightforward: fit a small red-dot sight to the scope body so the rifle keeps its magnified optic for deliberate shots while gaining a quicker reference for close-range opportunities.

These mounts are intended mainly for hunting rifles and sporting setups where speed and flexibility matter. The series is offered for different tube diameters and sight interfaces, allowing the mounting solution to match both the riflescope and the chosen compact sight. The design emphasis is on secure attachment, compact dimensions and stable alignment, with materials selected for durability under recoil and regular handling. In practice, the HMS 2 Sight family gives shooters a clean way to expand a rifle’s sighting capability without moving to a bulkier rail-based arrangement.

About the Henneberger HMS 2 Sight mount for Zeiss Compact Point, 26 mm

This version of the Henneberger HMS 2 Sight mount is made specifically for riflescopes with a 26 mm main tube and for red-dot sights using the Zeiss Compact Point mounting standard. That combination makes it a focused solution for shooters who want to place a compact reflex sight directly on the scope tube while keeping the rifle trim and mechanically simple.

In practical use, a scope-tube-mounted red dot helps when the main optic is set up for magnified shooting but the rifle may also be used at shorter distances or on moving targets. By mounting the Zeiss Compact Point above the scope tube, the rifle gains a faster sighting option without requiring a separate receiver rail arrangement. This can be especially useful on hunting rifles where preserving the existing optic position and overall handling is important.

The mount’s steel construction is a key part of its appeal. Steel brings stiffness and long-term resistance to clamping wear, which supports consistent positioning over repeated installation and use. At the same time, the mount remains relatively manageable at 100.00 g, so it adds capability without making the rifle feel overly cumbersome. Finished in black - gloss, it matches well with traditional scope and rifle setups while keeping the installation visually discreet.

About Henneberger

Henneberger was founded by master gunsmith Rudolf Henneberger on November 29, 1966, in Münnerstadt, Germany. The company developed from a gunsmithing business into a specialist maker of firearm-related mounting solutions, with a strong focus on rifle-scope mounting systems, repairs and precision workshop work. That background is especially relevant in a product such as the HMS 2 Sight mount, where fit, alignment and mechanical reliability matter as much as the optic itself.

The company later expanded its manufacturing capabilities by adding CNC machining in 2000, and Frank Henneberger took over the business on January 1, 2004. Henneberger remains based in Münnerstadt, Bavaria, and its range includes scope-mount components as well as mounts for red-dot sights. This combination of gunsmithing experience and in-house machining explains why the brand is closely associated with purpose-built mounting hardware for hunting and shooting applications.
