About the Model (Hawke Vantage HD 8x26 Binocular)

The Vantage HD 8x26 is the most compact configuration in the Vantage HD range, pairing 8x magnification with a 26 mm objective lens for a lightweight binocular that's easy to carry on hikes, travel, or everyday outings. At 285 g, it's noticeably lighter than the larger-objective models in the same series.

The phase-corrected BAK-4 roof prisms and fully multi-coated lenses deliver a sharp, high-contrast image with good color accuracy for the price point. The 6.8° field of view (119 m at 1000 m) gives a reasonably wide view for tracking moving subjects, and a close focus distance of 3.5 m allows for viewing subjects at closer range than many general-purpose binoculars.

The binocular features twist-up eye cups for adjustable eye relief and a right-eye dioptre adjustment to compensate for differences between the user's eyes. An adjustable interpupillary distance of 56-72 mm accommodates a wide range of users, and a built-in 1/4"-20 UNC tripod thread allows the binocular to be mounted for steadier viewing when needed.
