GRS Thumbhole, Tikka T3/T3x

• Thumbhole Ergonomics: The thumbhole layout promotes a secure, repeatable hand position, helping the rifle settle naturally for steadier field shots and more consistent trigger control at the range.
• Adjustable Cheekpiece: Built-in cheekpiece adjustment makes it easier to align the eye with the optic, improving comfort and supporting a more stable head position across different shooting setups.
• Birch Laminate Construction: The laminate build combines rigidity with durability, giving the stock a solid feel that supports accuracy while standing up well to regular hunting use.
• SpeedLock Adjustment: GRS SpeedLock allows quick stock fit changes without slowing down handling, which is useful when switching clothing layers or refining fit for different shooting positions.
• Glass-Bedding Ready Design: With glass bedding specified for this model, the stock is set up for shooters who want a more stable action fit and the consistency that matters in practical hunting and range use.

About the GRS Thumbhole Series

The GRS Thumbhole series was introduced as GRS’s first thumbhole stock and remains part of the company’s laminate-stock range. It is built as a practical crossover design for shooters who want a stock that works both in the field and on the range, combining classic hunting lines with a more supportive grip shape than a conventional sporter stock. The series is intended for hunting use as well as regular practice, where repeatable rifle fit and stable handling matter just as much as low bulk and straightforward operation.

Across the range, the Thumbhole stocks are made from birch laminate with an oiled finish, giving them a traditional appearance while retaining the dimensional stability laminate is known for. GRS also equips the series with SpeedLock adjustment, allowing the stock to be tailored more easily to the shooter. The Thumbhole family is offered for several rifle platforms and in multiple color options, which makes it one of the more versatile choices in the GRS lineup for hunters and general-purpose rifle shooters who prefer a laminate stock with a more controlled, ergonomic grip.

About the GRS Thumbhole, Tikka T3/T3x

The GRS Thumbhole, Tikka T3/T3x is a laminate hunting stock built for shooters who want a more supportive grip and an adjustable fit on the popular Tikka T3/T3x action. Its thumbhole shape encourages a natural wrist angle and a consistent firing-hand position, which is especially useful for deliberate shots from supported positions, woodland stalking, and general hunting where control matters more than a very slim traditional stock profile. At the same time, the stock remains suitable for range work, where repeatable body position helps tighten groups and makes optic alignment easier to maintain.

The stock uses laminate construction and a glass-bedding design, a combination that supports a stable action fit and solid overall rigidity. The adjustable cheekpiece is one of the most practical features on this model, because it helps the shooter achieve a more consistent cheek weld with different scope heights. The 390.00 mm length of pull gives the stock a full-size feel, while the 40.00 mm forend width keeps the front end manageable for field carry and supported shooting. With a weight of 1300.00 g and an overall length of 740.00 mm, it balances field portability with the steadier handling many shooters want from a laminate stock. Its stated applications, from alpine hunting and stalking to driven hunt use, reflect a stock designed for practical hunting rifles rather than a purely specialized competition setup.

About GRS

GRS traces its history to 2010 in Grodås, Hornindal, Norway, while the family business behind it began earlier in 1983 as Grodås Møbler AS, a furniture manufacturer. Today, GRS Riflestocks AS remains headquartered in Hornindal and focuses on rifle stocks for hunting and shooting. That background helps explain the brand’s emphasis on stock shape, fit, and practical ergonomics rather than purely cosmetic design.

GRS produces laminate, composite, and aluminum chassis stocks across product lines such as Hunter Light, Sporter, Bifrost, Fenris, Warg, and Ragnarok. The company began making laminate rifle stocks in 2011 and is also known for its SpeedLock adjustment system, used to simplify stock fitting. In this category, GRS has built a reputation around combining Scandinavian hunting-stock design with adjustable features that support a more personalized rifle fit for both field and range use.
