Explore Scientific Filter Set 1 Moon & Planets from 50mm

1. Enhanced Planetary Detail: Each filter in this set is specifically chosen to optimize views of planets, bringing out subtle features and improving contrast. For instance, the orange filter enhances detail on Martian surface features.

2. Lunar Observation: The grey filter is perfect for lunar observations, reducing glare from the bright Moon and allowing for prolonged, comfortable viewing of craters and mare.

3. Color Correction & Contrast: The light yellow and blue filters aid in separating cloud bands on gas giants and enhancing atmospheric variations, providing a clearer and more defined image.

4. Standard Compatibility: All filters feature a standard 1.25" diameter, ensuring broad compatibility with most astronomical eyepieces and accessories, making them a versatile addition to any observer's kit.

ABOUT THE EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC FILTER SET 1 MOON & PLANETS

The Explore Scientific Filter Set 1 stands out by offering a curated selection of essential filters specifically tailored for avid lunar and planetary observers using telescopes with at least 50mm aperture. Unlike general-purpose filter sets, this collection focuses on maximizing contrast and revealing subtle details on solar system objects. With filters like the light yellow for enhancing Martian features, the orange for Jupiter's belts, the blue for lunar details and polar caps on Mars, and the grey for comfortable bright lunar viewing, this set provides a comprehensive approach to observing our celestial neighbors. The emphasis is on specific color filtration to improve the visual experience, rather than optical magnification. Proper use and care of these filters, including secure attachment to original eyepieces, will significantly prolong their effectiveness and the quality of your observations.
