Dentler Base Rail BASIS - Dovetail 19.5 mm

• Firearm-Specific Fit: This BASIS base rail is made for 19.5 mm dovetail actions, giving a secure interface on compatible BRNO, Brünner and CZ rifles without improvised adapters.
• Modular BASIS Interface: The rail works with the Dentler Mounts Interface, so the rifle can be set up for different optics by changing the upper mounting rail rather than replacing the whole mounting system.
• Steel Construction: Built from steel, the base provides the rigidity needed for repeatable optic mounting and dependable resistance to recoil and hard field use.
• Low-Profile Permanent Base: As part of the Dentler BASIS concept, the base rail remains on the rifle while the optic mount stays with the sight, making optic changes more practical and consistent.
• Matte Black Finish: The black matte surface keeps reflections down and matches hunting rifle finishes, which is useful on rifles carried in mixed light and open terrain.

About the BASIS Series

Dentler BASIS is the company’s modular mounting system for hunters who want one optic setup to work in a more flexible way across their rifles. The system is built around two parts: a firearm-specific base rail that stays on the rifle and an interchangeable optic mounting rail that stays with the sight. This layout gives the BASIS series its practical value, because it separates the rifle interface from the optic interface and makes future changes simpler.

Within Dentler’s lineup, BASIS sits as the core mounting platform, while BASIS VARIO adds continuous height and windage adjustment for more specialized setups. The standard BASIS design focuses on a precise mechanical fit, repeatable positioning and straightforward handling in the field. Dentler also offers mounting rails for a wide range of optics, including Aimpoint, Pulsar, Swarovski, Zeiss and Weaver/Picatinny formats. For hunting rifles, that modular approach is useful because it allows the mounting system to be tailored to both the firearm and the optic without turning the base into a one-purpose component.

About the Dentler Base Rail BASIS - Dovetail 19.5 mm

The Dentler Base Rail BASIS - Dovetail 19.5 mm is a firearm-side mounting base for rifles that use a 19.5 mm dovetail, including compatible BRNO, Brünner and CZ models. Its role is simple but important: it creates the fixed foundation that allows the Dentler modular system to work as intended. Because the base is matched to the rifle’s dovetail geometry, it provides a cleaner and more secure starting point than universal solutions that rely on compromise fit.

In practical use, this base rail suits hunters who want to keep a rifle ready for different optic configurations while preserving a consistent mounting interface. Paired with a compatible Dentler Mounts Interface upper rail, it lets the optic assembly remain as one unit while the base stays on the rifle. That is especially useful when a rifle may alternate between a conventional riflescope, a red dot or another sighting setup built on the Dentler platform.

The rail is made from steel, which is a sensible choice for a recoil-bearing mounting component because it supports rigidity, wear resistance and long-term stability at the contact surfaces. Its black matte finish keeps the appearance discreet and appropriate for hunting rifles. For owners of compatible 19.5 mm dovetail actions, this model is the key part that brings those rifles into the Dentler BASIS ecosystem without changing the character of the firearm itself.

About Dentler

Dentler Jagdwaffen was founded in 2011 by Daniel Dentler and is based in Leutkirch im Allgäu, Germany. The company focuses on modular riflescope mounting systems for hunting firearms, with its main product families being BASIS and BASIS VARIO. A defining part of the Dentler concept is the use of a firearm-specific base rail combined with an interchangeable optic mounting rail, which gives the system its modular character.

Dentler’s product range covers mounting solutions for many rifle platforms and for optics from brands such as Aimpoint, Pulsar, Swarovski and Zeiss, as well as Weaver/Picatinny formats. That specialization has given the brand a clear place in the hunting optics market: it is known for mounts designed around compatibility, repeatable positioning and a structured system approach rather than one-off mounting parts.
