Delta Optical Classic 3-9x40

• Versatile 3-9x magnification: The 3-9x range covers the kind of distances most often encountered in stalking and general hunting, giving a wider view at 3x for faster target acquisition and more aiming precision at 9x.
• 40 mm objective with fully multicoated lenses: The optical system delivers a bright, clear image with good contrast, helping the shooter place shots more confidently in mixed light and against darker backgrounds.
• Second focal plane reticle: The SFP layout keeps the reticle visually fine as magnification changes, so the sight picture stays uncluttered and precise for careful aiming at higher power.
• Capped 1/4 MOA turrets: Covered adjustment turrets protect the zero from accidental movement in the field, which suits a hunting riflescope that is set once and then carried over rough ground.
• Nitrogen-filled waterproof construction: Water and fog resistance help the scope remain usable through rain, temperature changes, and cold mornings, reducing the chance of internal fogging during a hunt.

About the Delta Optical Classic Series

The Delta Optical Classic series is built as an accessible line of riflescopes for recreational and sport shooting, with a design that focuses on practical reliability rather than unnecessary complexity. Within Delta Optical’s sporting optics range, the Classic family sits as a straightforward option for shooters who want a conventional variable-power scope with the core features needed for regular field use. A recurring theme across the series is the use of a one-piece tube, which supports stable alignment and durable everyday handling.

Classic models also use nitrogen filling to improve resistance to moisture and internal fogging, while multilayer anti-reflection coatings help maintain a clear, usable image in changing light. The series includes several familiar hunting-style configurations, such as 3-9x40, 3-12x42, and 3-12x56 models, giving shooters a choice between lighter general-purpose scopes and versions better suited to lower-light work. Depending on the model, reticle options include practical patterns such as MilDot, Multi-X, and illuminated 4A variants, which shows the series’ emphasis on simple, proven aiming solutions for field and range use.

About the Delta Optical Classic 3-9x40

The Delta Optical Classic 3-9x40 is a traditional hunting riflescope configuration aimed at shooters who need one optic to cover short-to-medium field distances without adding unnecessary bulk. Its 3-9x magnification range makes it well suited to stalking, general-purpose hunting, and informal target shooting: 3x gives a broader view for scanning and quicker shot setup, while 9x provides enough image scale for more deliberate placement when the distance stretches out. Combined with a 40.00 mm objective lens, the scope stays trim enough for easy rifle handling while still offering a bright, practical sight picture.

This model uses a second focal plane reticle, which keeps the reticle size visually consistent through the zoom range. In practice, that means the aiming point does not become heavy at higher magnification, helping with precise shot placement on smaller targets. The non-illuminated layout also keeps operation simple and avoids dependence on batteries. Its capped turrets with 1/4 MOA click adjustment are better suited to a hunting setup than frequent dial-up use, because the settings are protected against accidental movement while carrying the rifle.

The scope’s handling is equally conventional and practical. A 25.4 mm tube fits common 1-inch rings, the fast-focus eyepiece helps bring the reticle into sharp focus quickly, and the fixed parallax setting at 91 m suits typical centrefire hunting distances. Nitrogen filling, waterproofing, and fogproof construction support dependable use in changing weather, while the moderate 416.00 g weight helps keep the rifle balanced for long walks and offhand shooting.

About Delta Optical

Delta Optical traces its beginnings to 1989, when it opened as an optics shop for enthusiasts. The company is based in Nowe Osiny, near Mińsk Mazowiecki in Poland, and it serves users across several optics fields, including astronomy, biology, hunting, and shooting. That broad background is reflected in a catalogue that ranges from observation equipment to sporting optics, giving the brand practical experience with both image quality and field usability.

Within shooting optics, Delta Optical’s lines include Titanium, Stryker, and Hornet series alongside the Classic family. The company describes its sporting scopes as using proprietary reticles and anti-reflective coatings, while its higher-end Stryker models are positioned for medium- and long-range target shooting. This mix of hunting and precision-oriented products has helped establish Delta Optical as a well-known European brand for shooters who want functional optics with clearly defined roles.
