DD Optics Nachtfalke FX 2.5-15x56

• 56 mm objective for low-light hunting: The large objective gathers more light at dawn, dusk, and under moonlight, helping the sight picture stay usable when smaller hunting scopes begin to lose brightness.
• 2.5-15x magnification range: This wide zoom span covers close woodland shots and more deliberate longer-distance work, so one riflescope can handle mixed hunting situations without feeling specialized to only one task.
• Second focal plane illuminated reticle: The reticle keeps the same apparent size through the zoom range, which many hunters prefer for a familiar aiming view, while the red illumination helps the center stand out against dark game or shaded backgrounds.
• Side parallax adjustment from 20 m to infinity: Fine parallax control keeps the image and reticle aligned at varying distances, which supports more precise shot placement and a sharper target view at higher magnification.
• Capped multi-turn turrets and 100 mm eye relief: The capped design protects settings during field carry, while the generous eye relief gives a safer, more forgiving shooting position on hunting rifles with stronger recoil.

About the DD Optics Nachtfalke FX Series

The DD Optics Nachtfalke FX series is a premium hunting riflescope line built around a special version of the company’s Generation III scope platform. DD Optics positions the series for difficult-light hunting, where image brightness, viewing comfort, and a practical field of view matter as much as raw magnification. Within the wider NFX family, the range includes V4, V6, and V8 models for different balances of zoom ratio and intended use.

A defining characteristic of the FX concept is its emphasis on a wider field of view, improved viewing comfort, and a less intrusive edge around the sight picture. In practice, that makes the series well suited to varied hunting situations, from more reactive shots to calmer observation and placement at distance. Depending on model, the line is offered with either manual illuminated-reticle control or automatic iFiber control, allowing hunters to choose a simpler or more automated setup. The result is a family of hunting optics designed to remain versatile across changing terrain, light, and shooting tempo.

About the DD Optics Nachtfalke FX 2.5-15x56

The DD Optics Nachtfalke FX 2.5-15x56 is built as a versatile low-light hunting riflescope for shooters who want one optic to cover evening high-seat use, open-ground observation, and more careful shots at longer distances. Its 2.5-15x magnification range gives it a broad working envelope: the lower end remains practical when a fast sight picture is needed, while the upper end provides enough detail for precise aiming and target assessment farther out. Combined with the 56.00 mm lens diameter, the scope is especially at home where legal hunting time stretches into poor light and image brightness becomes critical.

This model uses an illuminated SFP reticle with red illumination. A second focal plane layout keeps the reticle visually consistent as magnification changes, which many hunters find easier to use in the field because the aiming pattern does not appear to grow or shrink. The illumination is intended to improve reticle visibility against dark animals or shaded backgrounds rather than for bright daylight conditions. For more exact shooting, the scope also includes side-focus parallax adjustment from 20 m to infinity, helping maintain a crisp image and reducing aiming error as distances change.

Mechanically, the scope stays focused on practical hunting use. Capped turrets protect the adjustments from accidental movement during transport and stalking, while the 18.40 mrad elevation and windage range provides useful correction latitude. The 30 mm tube, nitrogen-filled construction, and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof build support reliable use in changing weather. At 759.00 g and 373.00 mm, it remains a substantial but field-oriented 56 mm hunting scope with the eye relief and optical format expected for confident use on centerfire rifles.

About DD Optics

DD Optics is a German family-owned optics company that says it was founded in 2007 in Dresden, Germany. The company later moved its headquarters to Chemnitz in 2012. DD Optics develops and sells a broad range of sporting optics, including binoculars, spotting scopes, rifle scopes, and night-vision devices, with a focus on hunting, nature observation, birdwatching, and outdoor use.

For products in this class, the company is particularly known for combining German product development with Japanese production on many of its optics. DD Optics says its binoculars and rifle scopes are mainly developed in Germany and mainly produced in Japan. Across its range, the brand also uses its own optical terminology, including DDlucid coatings and, in selected binocular lines, ED glass and Schmidt-Pechan prism systems. That background places the brand firmly in the field-sports optics segment, where practical optical performance and durable mechanical design are central.
