About the Stock for Blaser R8 Series

The Stock for Blaser R8 series is Carbonomix's core hunting stock line for the Blaser R8 platform, positioned alongside the manufacturer's more technical Hunttech line. Where Hunttech is built around configurable bipod and Arca-Swiss compatibility for supported long-range shooting, the Stock for Blaser R8 series is aimed at hunters who prioritize fast, natural handling for driven hunts and stalking, where a lightweight, straightforward gunstock matters more than extensive tactical configuration.

The series is offered in three construction variants: Carbon, Hybrid (a carbon and kevlar composite), and Adjustable, the latter adding an integrated, tool-free adjustable cheek raiser. These are available in a standard straight-stock Professional configuration, suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters, and in a Professional Success configuration featuring a thumbhole grip with an ergonomically angled palm swell, built specifically for right-handed shooters. A separate Battue configuration combines a thumbhole grip with a straight, fully ambidextrous construction, aimed specifically at fast-paced driven hunt use regardless of the shooter's handedness, and is available with or without the integrated adjustable cheek raiser.

Across the series, stocks share a maximally lifted recoil pad to reduce muzzle flip, and are built to accept optional bipod adapters for occasional supported use. All models in the series are supplied without the rifle's trigger and action system, which is transferred from the customer's existing rifle.

The Battue adjustable stock for Blaser R8 Professional Success is a carbon fibre gunstock built to accept the Blaser R8 Professional Success action and trigger system. It combines a thumbhole grip with a straight construction, making it, unlike the series' other thumbhole-grip models, truly ambidextrous and suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters.

Unlike the standard Battue model, this version adds an integrated adjustable cheek raiser, adjustable without tools, and is configured at order as either right-handed or left-handed. The carbon fibre construction offers excellent resilience to twist and torsion forces. The thumbhole grip is suitable for smaller hands and enables a tight grip, which suits the fast, confident gun handling required in driven hunt situations, where seconds are crucial. The recoil pad is maximally lifted to help reduce muzzle flip on firing.

The stock is finished at a standard length of pull of 37 cm; a custom length of pull of up to 40 cm can be arranged directly with Carbonomix on request. At the time of ordering, it can be configured with a 17 mm Standard or 19 mm Semi-weight barrel contour channel, and optionally with a Spartan classic gunsmith bipod adapter or a 3-slot Picatinny rail. A camo paint finish is also available, in a choice of Alpine or Forest patterns, and an added grip texture can be selected for enhanced grip on the handle.

The stock weighs approximately 580 g without the action. As with all Carbonomix stocks, it is sold without the Blaser R8 trigger and action system, which the customer transfers from their existing rifle.
