Burris XTR PS 3.3-18x50 Product description

  • PĒK digital elevation control: The clickless elevation system adjusts in 1/30 MIL steps, giving finer correction than conventional turret clicks and making precise holds and rapid dial changes easier in competition and long-range shooting.
  • Integrated HUD and app connectivity: The onboard display works with ballistic profiles from the BurrisConnect app, so key firing data is available in the scope without breaking position or shifting attention away from the target.
  • 3.3-18x magnification range: This zoom span covers close-to-mid distance target engagement as well as deliberate long-range work, making the scope flexible for practical rifle matches and tactical use with one optic.
  • Illuminated SCR 2 FFP reticle: The front-focal-plane layout keeps reticle subtensions consistent through the zoom range, while red illumination helps the aiming point stand out against dark targets or in poor light.
  • 34 mm one-piece construction: The large main tube supports generous adjustment travel and a robust build, while the waterproof, fogproof and shockproof design is suited to hard field use and changing weather.

About the Burris XTR PS Series

The Burris XTR PS series sits in Burris’s current tactical riflescope range and was introduced in 2025 for competitive shooters and long-range tactical users who want faster data handling than a conventional dial-only optic provides. The line currently includes 3.3-18x50 mm and 5.5-30x56 mm models, both built around a one-piece 34 mm main tube and an illuminated SCR 2 front-focal-plane reticle.

A defining feature of the series is Burris’s PĒK elevation control, which replaces traditional click indexing with digital adjustment down to 1/30 MIL. This is paired with an onboard HUD that can display customizable data zones and a competition countdown timer, giving the shooter immediate access to information that would otherwise require an external device or a separate dope card. The series also connects to the BurrisConnect app for creating and uploading ballistic profiles. In practical terms, the XTR PS family is designed for shooters who want a modern precision optic that combines a match-ready reticle, broad adjustment capability and integrated ballistic support in a scope that still handles like a dedicated long-range riflescope.

About the Burris XTR PS 3.3-18x50

The Burris XTR PS 3.3-18x50 is the more compact of the two XTR PS models, combining a useful 3.3-18x magnification range with a 50 mm objective lens for a balance of field awareness, target detail and manageable size. That makes it especially well suited to practical rifle competition, tactical shooting and long-range hunting optics roles where the shooter may need to move quickly between positional stages, nearer targets and extended distances without changing optics. At the low end, the broader field of view helps with faster target acquisition; at the high end, 18x provides enough image scale for precise shot placement and reading small target features.

Its most distinctive feature is the PĒK programmable elevation knob, which gives clickless digital adjustment in 1/30 MIL increments. In use, this allows finer elevation correction than standard turret clicks and supports very exact dialing when conditions or target distance change. The integrated HUD adds practical speed by keeping key ballistic information inside the optic, while BurrisConnect app support allows custom ballistic profiles to be loaded for the rifle and ammunition in use. The SCR 2 FFP reticle keeps hold values accurate across the zoom range, which is important for shooters who alternate between dialing and holding. Red illumination improves reticle visibility against dark backgrounds, and the side-focus parallax adjustment from 25m to Infinity helps maintain a sharper target image at varying distances. A 34 mm tube, 35.00 mrad of elevation travel and a rugged waterproof, fogproof, shockproof build complete a scope intended for serious precision work in changing conditions.

About Burris

Burris was founded in 1971 by Don Burris and is headquartered in Greeley, Colorado, United States. The company focuses on sporting and tactical optics, including riflescopes, red-dot and reflex sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, thermal optics, rings and mounts. That broad product range helps explain Burris’s strong presence in both hunting optics and precision shooting equipment.

Over time, Burris has introduced several notable products and technologies relevant to this category. The company began marketing the Fullfield riflescope series in 1975, introduced the Ballistic Plex trajectory-compensating reticle in 2000, and launched the FastFire mini red-dot reflex sight in 2007. In 2010, Burris introduced the Eliminator riflescope with laser rangefinding and automatic bullet-drop compensation. Burris became part of Beretta Holdings in 2002, and today it remains closely associated with practical, field-oriented optics that combine durable construction with shooter-focused reticle and aiming solutions.
