Burris XTB 2-Piece Rail for Sako Product description

  • Low-profile 2-piece design: Keeps the optic close to the bore for a compact, well-balanced rifle setup while still leaving flexibility to position rings where the scope fits best.
  • Weaver- and Picatinny-style ring compatibility: Lets the base accept a wide range of common ring types, making it easier to match the mount to the scope and intended use.
  • Matte black aluminum construction: Reduces glare and keeps weight down, which helps preserve the handling of a hunting or field rifle without adding unnecessary bulk.
  • Sako-specific fit: Built for a broad range of Sako actions, giving a direct mounting solution for rifles that need a base matched to the receiver profile.
  • 2-year warranty: Adds clear long-term support for normal use and gives confidence when fitting the mount to a working rifle.

About the Burris XTB Mount Series

The Burris XTB Mount series is Burris' tactical-style base line for shooters who want a simple, stable interface between rifle and optic. In the Burris mounting range, the series sits as a practical solution for rifles that need Weaver-style and Picatinny-style ring compatibility without moving to a heavier one-piece rail. The design focuses on secure engagement, low mounting height, and straightforward installation, which makes it relevant for both hunting optics and general-purpose rifle builds.

Across the series, the emphasis is on giving the shooter more freedom in ring choice and scope placement while keeping the base itself compact. The 2-piece layout helps preserve access around the action and can make it easier to match different scope tube lengths and mounting footprints. Burris positions the XTB family for users who value a durable, no-nonsense mounting platform rather than extra adjustment features. That makes the series well suited to rifles that need a clean, dependable base for field use, range work, or a practical tactical setup.

About the Burris XTB 2-Piece Rail for Sako

The Burris XTB 2-Piece Rail for Sako is built for shooters who want to mount a scope on compatible Sako rifles while keeping the setup compact and adaptable. Its 2-piece base format gives more freedom in ring spacing than many fixed one-piece solutions, which is useful when working with scopes of different tube lengths, saddle positions, or eye-relief requirements. On a hunting rifle or a practical field rifle, that flexibility can make scope positioning easier without adding unnecessary length over the action.

The base is made from aluminium and finished in black matte, so it keeps visual reflection low and avoids adding more weight than necessary to the rifle. The low-profile form helps maintain a tidy mounting height, which supports a more natural cheek weld and a more controlled shooting position. Because the design works with Weaver-style and Picatinny-style rings, it gives the user a broad choice of ring options for different optic sizes and intended applications.

This model is intended for a wide range of Sako 75, Sako 85, L-series, M-series, MA 05, S491, TRG-S M995, and VL63 Finnwolf rifles, making it a useful option for owners of older and newer Sako actions alike. For a rifle that needs a straightforward optic interface rather than an oversized rail, this Burris mount offers a clean and practical solution.

About Burris

Burris was founded in 1971 and takes its name from founder Don Burris. The company is based in Greeley, Colorado, United States, and it has long focused on sporting and tactical optics as well as the mounting systems that support them. Its catalog covers riflescopes, red-dot and reflex sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, thermal optics, rings, and mounts, which gives Burris a broad presence across hunting and shooting equipment.

Within the optics market, Burris is especially known for practical product development tied to field use. The company began marketing its Fullfield riflescope series in 1975, introduced the Ballistic Plex trajectory-compensating reticle in 2000, and later expanded into advanced sighting systems such as the Eliminator riflescope with integrated laser rangefinding and automatic bullet-drop compensation. That mix of conventional optics and purpose-built mounting hardware makes Burris a natural fit for products such as the XTB mounting series.
