Burris Veracity PH 2.5-12x42 Gen 2

• 2.5-12x hunting magnification range: This zoom span covers fast shots at shorter stalking distances and still gives enough top-end magnification for careful placement across open ground, so one riflescope can handle mixed terrain.
• Programmable PĒK elevation system with HUD: The click-less elevation knob works with the built-in heads-up display to present hold and dialing information in the sight picture, helping reduce guesswork when distance and angle change in the field.
• Front focal plane reticle: Because the reticle scales with magnification, holdovers remain consistent throughout the zoom range, which is especially useful when a shot opportunity does not allow time to return to one preset power.
• Side parallax adjustment from 23 m to infinity: Fine-tuning parallax helps keep the target and reticle on the same focal plane, improving aiming precision from relatively short ranges out to distant shots.
• Rugged 30 mm nitrogen-filled construction: The waterproof, fogproof and shockproof build is made for hunting in changing weather, while the 30 mm tube provides generous adjustment travel for dialing elevation.

About the Burris Veracity PH Series

The Burris Veracity PH series is a line of hunting riflescopes built for shooters who want a traditional optical platform combined with digital ballistic assistance. A defining feature across the range is the front-focal-plane reticle, which keeps reticle subtensions useful through the magnification range instead of limiting hold references to one power setting. The series is also distinguished by its built-in heads-up display and the programmable, click-less PĒK elevation knob, giving the scope a more data-driven approach than a conventional hunting optic.

Bluetooth connectivity links each Veracity PH model to the BurrisConnect app, where ballistic profiles and scope settings can be configured for a specific rifle and load. In use, the display can show key information such as elevation distance, rifle cant, wind hold and battery status without forcing the shooter to break position. The Veracity PH family includes 2.5-12x42, 3-15x44 and 4-20x50 configurations, covering everything from mobile stalking rifles to setups intended for longer shots in open country. As a series, Veracity PH is aimed at hunters who want faster elevation management and more informed shot execution while keeping the familiar handling of a riflescope.

About the Burris Veracity PH 2.5-12x42 Gen 2

The Burris Veracity PH 2.5-12x42 Gen 2 is the most compact configuration in the Veracity PH family, making it especially well suited to stalking, mountain hunting and general-purpose hunting rifles where balance and versatility matter as much as raw magnification. Its 2.5-12x range gives a wide enough low end for quick target acquisition at closer distances, while 12x still provides the precision needed for deliberate shot placement when the terrain opens up. The 42 mm objective helps keep the scope trim without giving up the brightness and practical low-light performance expected from a serious hunting optic.

What sets this model apart is the way it combines optical simplicity with ballistic support. The heads-up display keeps useful shooting data in the sight picture, while the PĒK programmable elevation knob is designed for fast, repeatable distance correction without relying on a conventional click turret alone. In practice, that means less time looking away from the target and less chance of losing track of a dial under pressure. The front focal plane reticle supports accurate hold use across the zoom range, and the red illumination helps the aiming point stand out when dark game, timber and low-contrast backgrounds make an unlit reticle harder to pick up.

The scope also has the mechanical features expected of a field rifle optic. A 30 mm tube provides useful adjustment range, with 34.91 mrad of elevation travel and a Zero Stop system for returning to the base setting with confidence. Side focus parallax adjustment from 23 m to infinity helps maintain a precise sight picture across a wide range of hunting distances, and the waterproof, fogproof, shockproof, nitrogen-filled construction supports dependable use in cold mornings, wet weather and rough transport.

About Burris

Burris was founded in 1971 and takes its name from founder Don Burris. The company expanded its presence in sporting optics with the introduction of the Fullfield riflescope series in 1975, and over time it developed a broad catalog covering hunting and tactical riflescopes, red-dot and reflex sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, thermal optics, rings and mounts. Burris is headquartered in Greeley, Colorado, United States.

The brand is known for combining practical field use with purpose-built features. Notable milestones include the Ballistic Plex reticle, introduced in 2000 to give shooters a straightforward trajectory-compensating aiming system, and the Eliminator riflescope, launched in 2010 with integrated laser rangefinding and automatic bullet-drop compensation. Burris became part of Beretta Holdings in 2002, and it remains closely associated with hunting optics and shooting accessories that emphasize functional design rather than unnecessary complexity.
