AD GoPro mount

• Quick-detach rail attachment: The patented QD Auto Lock lever system lets the mount go on and off a railed forearm quickly while maintaining a secure hold on a wide range of rail tolerances.
• GoPro-specific mounting angle: The camera is held at a 90° angle, giving a practical forward-facing setup for recording training, hunting, or range sessions from the firearm platform.
• Tool-free adjustment: Lever tension can be adjusted with fingers or a flat-blade screwdriver, so the mount can be fitted or fine-tuned in the field without proprietary tools.
• Durable aluminum construction: A 6061-T6 aluminum body with Type III hard-coat anodizing resists wear and handling damage, making it suitable for repeated mounting and removal.
• Fits varied rail dimensions: The mount is built to work with in-spec and out-of-spec rail systems, which helps ensure dependable clamping across different firearm setups.

About the AD Accessories Series

American Defense AD Accessories covers a broad group of mounting and rail-related components built around the same practical design approach found across the company’s firearm accessory lineup. The series includes light mounts, bipod mounts, rail components, and other firearm accessories, giving shooters a consistent mounting system for different roles rather than a one-purpose part catalog. American Defense positions these products for law enforcement, military, competition, hunting, and recreational use, which explains the emphasis on secure attachment, repeatable handling, and straightforward adjustment.

A defining characteristic of the series is its use of 6061-T6 aluminum and Type III hard-coat anodizing, materials chosen to keep weight controlled while standing up to field use. Many products in the line also use the company’s patented Auto Lock lever system, which can be adjusted without proprietary tools and configured to lock toward the front or rear. In practice, that gives the AD Accessories family a clear identity: robust American-made mounting hardware designed to adapt to real firearm platforms and real rail variation without adding unnecessary complexity.

About the AD GoPro mount

The American Defense AD GoPro mount is a specialized rail accessory for shooters who want to attach an older-generation GoPro camera directly to a firearm’s railed forearm. Its main advantage is not just that it holds a camera, but that it does so in a way that suits live-fire use: the mount places the camera at a 90° angle, creating a stable orientation for recording drills, hunting footage, or training sessions from the firearm itself.

The mount uses American Defense’s QD Auto Lock Titanium Lever system, which is important in practice because it allows fast installation and removal without turning the setup into a permanent fixture. The lever can be adjusted with a finger or flat-blade screwdriver, and it is designed to fit both in-spec and out-of-spec rail systems. That makes the mount easier to move between platforms while still maintaining firm rail engagement. The ability to configure the lever to lock toward the front or rear also helps the user tailor the setup around surrounding accessories and available rail space.

Construction follows the same durable pattern seen in ADM’s mounting products. The body is precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in hard coat Type III Mil-Spec anodize, giving the mount the wear resistance expected from a firearm accessory that may be removed, reinstalled, and exposed to rough handling. At 58.00 g, it adds only modest weight, which matters when keeping a carbine or similar platform balanced and manageable.
