UTG BugBuster 3-9x32

• Compact 3-9x32 format: The short 206.00 mm body keeps the rifle trim and well balanced, which is especially useful on airguns, rimfires and compact hunting or utility rifles where excess scope length can get in the way.
• Side-focus parallax adjustment from 2.7 m to inf: Close-range parallax correction makes the scope practical for airgun use and short-distance target work, while still allowing a sharp image and precise aiming at longer ranges.
• Illuminated SFP Mil-Dot reticle: Red and green illumination helps the aiming point stand out against dark targets or shaded backgrounds, while the Mil-Dot layout supports holdover and basic range estimation.
• Locking, resettable turrets: A zero-lockable turret system helps prevent accidental movement during transport or field use, while reset capability makes it easier to return to a known zero after adjustments.
• Nitrogen-filled, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction: The sealed one-piece design is built for changing weather, temperature shifts and repeated recoil, helping the optic stay usable in real field conditions.

About the UTG BugBuster Series

The UTG BugBuster series is a compact riflescope family within the UTG lineup, built for shooters who want useful magnification without the bulk of a full-length optic. The series centers on a 1-inch main tube, second focal plane reticles and a practical overall size that suits air rifles, rimfires and compact centerfire setups. Across the range, BugBuster models use wire Mil-Dot reticles, giving the shooter a familiar aiming pattern for holdover and simple range estimation.

Mechanically, the series is built around UTG’s True Strength platform, combining a one-piece aluminum main tube with nitrogen purging for weather resistance and internal stability. In the current lineup, BugBuster models are offered in 3-9x32 and 3-12x32 configurations, with illuminated and non-illuminated versions depending on the exact model. UTG also offers BugBuster variants with mounting options for dovetail or Picatinny rails, which reflects the series’ broad compatibility with sporting and utility rifles. The overall design philosophy is straightforward: keep the scope short, durable and easy to mount, while still providing enough magnification and reticle utility for hunting optics, plinking, pest control and general target shooting.

About the UTG BugBuster 3-9x32

The UTG BugBuster 3-9x32 is the compact member of the series for shooters who need flexibility across short and medium distances without adding much length to the rifle. Its 3-9x magnification range covers close-range sighting, general field use and more deliberate shot placement at longer distances, making it well suited to airguns, rimfires and lightweight hunting or target rifles. The 32 mm objective keeps the scope trim, while the field of view range helps the shooter move from wider observation at low power to more precise aiming at high power.

This model uses a second focal plane Mil-Dot reticle with red and green illumination. In practice, that gives a clean sight picture at all magnifications, while the illuminated center helps the reticle remain visible against dark fur, shaded targets or cluttered backgrounds. The Mil-Dot pattern also adds practical hold references for trajectory compensation and simple ranging. Parallax adjustment runs from 2.7 m to inf, which is a major advantage for close-range precision, especially on air rifles where targets are often much nearer than with conventional hunting scopes.

Its turret system is designed for real use rather than occasional bench adjustment. The turrets are lockable and resettable, helping protect the zero during transport and allowing the shooter to return quickly to a baseline after corrections. Combined with a nitrogen-filled, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof build, the scope is configured for regular outdoor use in changing conditions while staying compact enough for rifles where space and balance matter.

About UTG

UTG is the optics and shooting-accessories brand of Leapers, Inc., a company founded in Michigan in 1992 and headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, United States. The company began with a compact 4×28 scope and grew into a broad manufacturer of riflescopes, scope rings, mounts and bipods for hunting and shooting sports. That background is relevant to products like the BugBuster, which reflect Leapers’ long focus on practical sporting optics and mounting solutions.

Over time, Leapers expanded its development and manufacturing capabilities, including the launch of the UTG PRO line of U.S.-made products in 2009 and the establishment of a UTG optics research and manufacturing center in Taiwan in 2018. In 2022, the company also introduced the INTEGRIX premium optics brand. Within the shooting market, UTG is known for building accessible, feature-focused optics and accessories that emphasize functional design, compatibility and durability.
