Steiner Ranger 6 3-18x56 Riflescope (2026 Model) Product description

  • Ballistic Turret Ready: The elevation turret incorporates the integrated mounting interface for the Steiner Ballistic Turret. Once configured for the ammunition used and preferred shooting distances, it allows defined distances to be selected directly on the turret instead of estimating holdover.
  • Illuminated Fiber Dot Reticle: The illuminated 4A-I reticle in the second focal plane uses Fiber Dot illumination to provide a clearly defined aiming point that is quick to acquire in changing light and when only seconds remain for the shot.
  • 56 mm Objective for Low-Light Hunting: The large 56 mm objective lens combined with Steiner's High-Contrast optics keeps relevant details easy to recognize at dusk, making the riflescope well suited for stand hunting in the last light of the day.
  • Tactile, Repeatable Adjustments: Clearly perceptible 1 cm @ 100 m clicks support controlled adjustments, while high repeatability ensures reliable results even after the settings have been changed several times.

ABOUT THE STEINER RANGER 6 SERIES

The Steiner Ranger 6 series is Steiner's 6x zoom hunting riflescope line, designed for hunters who need dependable performance in real-world hunting situations. In the current generation, introduced in September 2026, each model has a clearly defined application profile instead of a one-size-fits-all approach.

The series launched with three models: the 1-6x24 for dynamic driven hunts, and the 2-12x50 and 3-18x56 for stand hunting and longer-distance shooting. A fourth model, the 1.7-10.2x44, will join the line in January 2027.

All Ranger 6 riflescopes share the same core concept. The illuminated Fiber Dot reticle provides a quick, clearly visible aiming point in dynamic situations and changing light. Positive, clearly perceptible clicks support controlled adjustments with high repeatability, and the High-Contrast optics deliver a clear, usable image as light conditions change. The riflescopes are built for regular use in wet weather, cold and impact-prone conditions.

A key feature of the series is the integrated mounting interface for the new Steiner Ballistic Turret. Thanks to its standardized interface, the Ballistic Turret is compatible with all Ranger 6 models and future compatible Ranger riflescopes, so hunters can expand their setup as their requirements evolve.

ABOUT THE MODEL (STEINER RANGER 6 3-18x56)

The Steiner Ranger 6 3-18x56 is the low-light and longer-distance model of the Ranger 6 series. It is a versatile hunting riflescope for stand hunting, hunting at dusk and shots over open fields and meadows.

The 3–18x magnification range covers a wide spectrum of hunting situations. At 3x, the 14.05 m field of view at 100 m provides a good overview for game moving at closer distances. At 18x, the hunter can precisely assess game and place shots accurately at longer ranges. The 56 mm objective lens gathers plenty of light, which is essential in the final minutes of legal shooting light.

The illuminated 4A-I reticle is located in the second focal plane, so it keeps the same apparent size at every magnification. The Fiber Dot illumination produces a clearly defined illuminated dot that enables fast target acquisition without obscuring the target. Parallax adjustment from 50 m to infinity ensures a sharp image and precise aiming at higher magnification settings.

The riflescope features capped turrets with a click value of 1 cm @ 100 m and 74 cm of elevation and windage adjustment at 100 m. The elevation turret includes the integrated interface for the Steiner Ballistic Turret. It can be individually configured for the ammunition used, and its multiple distance rings allow defined distances to be selected directly in the field. The Ballistic Turret is easy to retrofit and is expected to be available from January 2027. At Optics Trade, the riflescope can also be ordered in the BDC configuration, which includes the capped riflescope together with the Ballistic Turret for simple installation by the user.

Built on a 30 mm main tube, with a length of 338 mm and a weight of 754 g, the riflescope stays manageable on a hunting rifle. It is waterproof up to 2 m, nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging, and remains fully functional at temperatures from -25 °C to +65 °C.
