Steiner Flip Up Cover for M5Xi/M7Xi - 50 mm

• 50 mm objective fit: Sized for M5Xi and M7Xi riflescopes with a 50 mm objective, so it protects the front lens without adding unnecessary bulk.
• Flip-up access: The cover opens quickly when it is time to shoot, helping keep the objective lens protected during transport, storage and movement in the field.
• Lightweight construction: At 50.00 g, it adds very little weight to a precision rifle setup and keeps handling changes to a minimum.
• Protective plastic body: The plastic construction helps shield the objective lens from dust, moisture and surface knocks that can affect image clarity.
• Black low-profile finish: The black exterior matches tactical optics well and keeps the accessory visually discreet on hunting optics or precision shooting rifles.

About the Steiner Accesories Series

Steiner Accesories covers the practical add-ons that support the brand’s riflescopes in field and range use. The series includes scope covers, sunshades, anti-reflection devices and magnification throw levers, giving shooters a way to adapt an optic to transport, weather, glare control and faster handling. Rather than changing the core optical system, these accessories focus on protecting the scope and making it easier to use in demanding conditions.

Within the range, Steiner designs accessories around specific scope formats and intended roles. Anti-reflection devices use a honeycomb structure to reduce visible lens reflection, while sunshades extend the objective housing to help manage glare in bright light. Scope protection is another key part of the series, with designs intended to cover vulnerable external surfaces during storage and movement. As a family, Steiner Accesories suits shooters who want their optics set up for hard field use, whether the priority is lens protection, reduced signature or smoother manipulation on a precision rifle.

About the Steiner Flip Up Cover for M5Xi/M7Xi - 50 mm

The Steiner Flip Up Cover for M5Xi/M7Xi - 50 mm is a purpose-built lens cover for riflescopes that use a 50 mm objective in the M5Xi and M7Xi families. Its main job is simple but important: it keeps the objective lens covered when the rifle is being transported, stored or carried through dust, brush and wet conditions, then opens quickly when the optic is needed. That helps preserve image quality by reducing the chance of dirt, water marks or minor surface contact reaching the front lens.

The flip-up format is especially useful on precision and tactical rifles because it avoids the delay of removing a separate cap and finding somewhere to stow it. Once mounted, the cover stays with the optic and can be opened in one motion, which is practical for range sessions, hunting optics setups and duty-style rifles where the scope may move repeatedly between protected and ready states. With a weight of 50.00 g, it adds little to the rifle, and the plastic housing keeps the accessory light while still providing everyday protection. The black finish gives it a clean match with modern riflescopes and helps it blend naturally into professional or field-oriented rifle builds.

About Steiner

Steiner was founded by Karl Steiner in 1947 in Bayreuth, Germany, where the company is still headquartered. It built its reputation around durable optical equipment for demanding outdoor and professional use, and today its range includes binoculars, riflescopes and thermal-imaging products. Steiner products are used across hunting, water sports, outdoor recreation, defense and law-enforcement applications, which reflects the brand’s long focus on rugged, field-ready design.

Several milestones helped define that reputation. In 1973, Steiner introduced binoculars with nitrogen filling to reduce internal fogging during temperature changes, and in 1979 it launched a binocular with an integrated compass that established the Commander marine line. The company later introduced its Nighthunter hunting-optics concept in 2000. Since August 2008, Steiner has been part of Beretta Holding, extending its presence across both civilian and professional optics markets.
