Sig Sauer Tango-MSR 1-8x24

• 1-8x low-power variable range: True 1x supports fast target acquisition at short distance, while 8x gives enough magnification for more deliberate shots and target identification farther out.
• Illuminated SFP reticle: The red illuminated reticle stays easy to pick up against dark backgrounds, and the second focal plane layout keeps the reticle appearance familiar throughout the zoom range.
• Low-dispersion optical system: Fully multicoated lenses and low-dispersion glass help maintain a clear, high-contrast image, which makes holds, transitions, and observation easier in mixed light.
• Capped turrets for field use: The capped adjustment design protects zero from accidental movement during transport, patrol, or hunting, so the scope stays ready without constant checking.
• Mount and accessories included: The supplied cantilever mount, throw lever, and flip-back covers make the scope easier to install, quicker to adjust, and better protected in regular use.

About the Sig Sauer Tango-MSR Series

The Sig Sauer Tango-MSR series was introduced in November 2022 as a practical line of riflescopes for shooters who want modern LPVO and general-purpose scope formats without moving into SIG SAUER’s more specialized premium ranges. The family includes both standard and Compact models, with magnification ranges spanning 1-6x, 1-8x, 1-10x, and 2-12x, so the series covers everything from close-range carbine work to more deliberate mid-range shooting.

Across the line, low-dispersion glass is a defining feature, helping the scopes deliver a cleaner image with useful contrast and control of color fringing. Depending on the model, the series is available with first- or second-focal-plane reticles and illuminated reticle options tailored to different shooting styles. The design philosophy is straightforward: durable housings, practical controls, and field-ready construction rather than oversized tactical features. SIG SAUER also describes the series as waterproof, shockproof, and fog-proof, which suits hunting optics, range use, and hard-use sporting rifles. In short, the Tango-MSR line is built around versatility, with low-power variable optics forming the core of the range.

About the Sig Sauer Tango-MSR 1-8x24

The Sig Sauer Tango-MSR 1-8x24 is a low-power variable riflescope designed for rifles that need to cover both close and intermediate distances with one optic. Its 1.00-8.00 x magnification range gives it a broader top end than a typical 1-6x scope, which is useful when the rifle is expected to move from fast target transitions at low power to more precise shot placement at distance. At 1x, the wide 41.60 m/100m field of view supports fast scanning and easier tracking of moving targets, while 8x helps the shooter read the target area more carefully.

This model uses a 24.00 mm objective lens, a 30 mm tube, and a second focal plane illuminated reticle. In practical use, an SFP layout keeps the reticle visually consistent as magnification changes, which many shooters prefer for fast, intuitive aiming on a general-purpose carbine. The red illumination improves reticle visibility in dim backgrounds or shaded terrain, while the fixed 95.00 mm eye relief helps maintain a stable head position behind the rifle. The fully multicoated optical system and low-dispersion glass are aimed at preserving clarity and contrast across the zoom range.

Mechanically, the scope is set up for straightforward field use. Capped turrets reduce the chance of accidental adjustment, while the total 100.00 MOA elevation and windage travel gives ample correction range for zeroing and setup. The scope is nitrogen filled and built to be waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof, making it suitable for hunting rifles and sporting carbines that see changing weather and regular transport. Included accessories such as the throw lever, flip-back covers, and cantilever mount further reinforce its role as a ready-to-mount LPVO.

About Sig Sauer

SIG SAUER traces its origins to a wagon factory established near the Rhine Falls in Switzerland in 1853. Over time, the company developed into a broad firearms and shooting-equipment manufacturer, and SIG SAUER, Inc. is headquartered in Newington, New Hampshire. The modern company produces firearms, electro-optics, ammunition, airguns, and suppressors, with electro-optics forming an important part of its sporting and tactical catalog.

Within optics, SIG SAUER makes riflescopes, red-dot sights, and rangefinders, and its product development spans both hunting and tactical applications. Its optical technologies include the HDX optical system, which combines extra-low-dispersion glass with high-transmittance glass, and the HellFire illuminated reticle, which uses fiber-optic technology. The company’s standing in the riflescope segment was further reinforced when the TANGO6T was selected by the U.S. Army for its Squad Designated Marksman Rifle System.
