Shilba I6x 5-30x56

• 6x zoom range: The 5-30x magnification span covers precise shot placement from medium distance out to long range, so one riflescope can handle load development, target work, and open-country hunting.
• 56 mm objective lens: A large front lens helps maintain image brightness at higher magnifications, which is especially useful when detail matters in low light or when reading wind and mirage at distance.
• Side parallax adjustment: Adjustment from 15 meters to infinity helps keep the target and reticle on the same focal plane, reducing aiming error and making the scope more flexible across short and long shooting distances.
• Second focal plane reticle: The SFP layout keeps the reticle visually consistent through the zoom range, giving a familiar sight picture that many shooters prefer for deliberate aiming at high magnification.
• 30 mm nitrogen-filled tube: The 30 mm main tube, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction support reliable field use in changing weather and during regular transport on a hunting or target rifle.

About the Shilba I6X Series

The Shilba I6X series sits in the brand’s hunting riflescope range and is built around a 6x zoom system that gives each model a broad working range. Within the family, Shilba offers configurations from a true low-power option for close and fast shooting to larger models intended for medium- and long-range use. Across the series, the common design themes are a 30 mm tube, second focal plane reticles, and a layout intended to balance practical field use with the precision needed for more deliberate shooting.

The series is described for recreational, sporting, professional, and scientific use, which helps explain its wide spread of magnification options. In the current lineup, reticle choice varies by model and includes options such as IR4, B4A, and Mildot, allowing the series to cover everything from straightforward hunting hold points to more measurement-oriented aiming. The larger I6X models are the ones aimed at long-range work, where higher top-end magnification, a larger objective lens, and a stable sight picture become more important than compact size. The result is a riflescope family designed for shooters who want more reach and finer aiming control than a basic hunting optic usually provides.

About the Shilba I6x 5-30x56

The Shilba I6x 5-30x56 is the long-range member of the series, built for shooters who need enough magnification to resolve small targets, inspect impact points, or place shots carefully at extended distance. Its 5-30x magnification range gives it a wide operating window: the lower end remains usable for general field observation and closer shots, while the upper end is better suited to slow, deliberate shooting where target detail and precise reticle placement matter most. The 56.00 mm objective lens supports this role by helping the image stay more usable as magnification rises, which is valuable in dawn and dusk hunting conditions as well as on overcast range days.

This model uses a second focal plane reticle, so the reticle appears the same size throughout the zoom range. In practice, that gives a clean and familiar sight picture, especially for shooters who prefer a consistent aiming reference at high magnification. The scope also includes side-focus parallax adjustment from 15 meters to infinity, which makes it easier to sharpen the image and reduce apparent reticle shift across a very broad range of shooting distances. That is particularly useful on a high-magnification riflescope, where small focus errors become more noticeable.

Its capped turrets favor protection against accidental movement during transport or field carry, making the scope well suited to hunting rifles as well as range setups where adjustments are made deliberately rather than constantly. A 30 mm tube, fully multicoated lenses, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction round out a practical package for regular outdoor use.

About Shilba

Shilba traces its origins to an optical workshop near Osaka, Japan, in 1960. The brand’s early development in riflescopes was shaped by practical field use; in 1975, technicians from Argentina traveled to Japan to help develop a riflescope for hare hunting. Shilba’s first two riflescope models were 4×32 and 4×40, and the initial 2,000-unit production run sold out in under 60 days, showing strong demand from the start.

In 1981, the owner of the Japanese factory sold the Shilba brand, its expertise, and its contacts to the current owners. Over time, the company expanded beyond riflescopes into a broader sporting optics catalog that includes binoculars, monoculars, spotting scopes, and scope mounts and rings. Shilba later broadened its international presence, beginning exports to neighboring Latin American countries in 2000 and starting to market its products in Spain in 2004. That background helps place the brand as a long-running maker focused on practical field optics.
