Rusan Picatinny rail - CZ 550, 557 / 600 ZKK, quick-release

• Quick-release construction: The lever-operated design lets the rail be removed and reattached without a slow workshop-style process, which is useful for rifles that alternate between scoped and open-sight use or need easier transport and cleaning.
• Steel body: Steel gives the rail the rigidity needed for a stable optic interface, helping the sight stay aligned under recoil and repeated handling.
• Picatinny interface: A Picatinny top profile opens the rifle to a wide choice of riflescope rings, red dot mounts and other accessories, making optic selection far more flexible than proprietary bases.
• Model-specific fit: This rail is made for CZ 550, CZ 557 and 600 ZKK-pattern actions, so it provides a mounting solution matched to the receiver geometry rather than a generic compromise.
• Low 4.00 mm BH height: The low build keeps the optic closer to the bore, which can support a more natural cheek weld and a tidier overall rifle setup.

About the Rusan Series

Rusan Picatinny rails are built as practical mounting platforms for hunters and shooters who want to fit modern optics to established rifle actions. Within the company’s mounting range, these rails sit between simple fixed bases and more specialized adapter systems, offering a familiar Picatinny cross-slot standard that works with a broad variety of rings and accessories. The series is aimed at users who need a secure optic interface for classic sporting rifles, working rifles and general hunting setups.

A defining characteristic of the series is its focus on model-specific compatibility. Rather than treating every receiver the same, Rusan produces rails for particular rifle families and action lengths, which helps preserve correct fit and mounting geometry. Depending on the version, the range includes fixed and quick-release variants, giving shooters a choice between a permanent installation and a rail that can be detached more conveniently. The design philosophy is straightforward: durable metal construction, clean mechanical fit and compatibility with commonly used optics hardware. For users building a flexible hunting or sporting rifle, the series provides a simple way to standardize the top of the action around the Picatinny format.

About the Rusan Picatinny rail - CZ 550, 557 / 600 ZKK, quick-release

The Rusan Picatinny rail - CZ 550, 557 / 600 ZKK, quick-release is designed for shooters who want to modernize a compatible CZ or BRNO-pattern rifle with a versatile optic mounting platform while keeping the convenience of a removable system. Its quick-release layout is the key difference from a conventional fixed rail: it allows the mount to be detached more easily when the rifle must be packed compactly, serviced, or returned to a different sighting arrangement.

The rail uses a steel construction, which matters on hunting and sporting rifles because the mounting surface has to resist recoil forces, repeated optic changes and hard field handling without flexing. A steel rail also gives ring clamps a firm, consistent surface to bear against, which helps maintain dependable optic positioning. With a 150.00 mm overall length, the rail provides useful ring-placement latitude for a wide range of riflescope tube lengths and mounting footprints. That flexibility can be important when setting correct eye relief or balancing a compact scope against the action length.

The 4.00 mm BH height keeps the rail relatively low over the receiver, helping the rifle retain a more natural head position than a taller mounting solution. On a hunting rifle, that can make the gun quicker to shoulder and easier to shoot consistently from field positions. Because the top interface is Picatinny, this Rusan mount base also broadens optic choice, making it suitable for traditional riflescopes as well as other Picatinny-compatible sighting systems.

About Rusan

Rusan grew out of the Rusan family’s metalworking business dating to 1983, and the company’s background still shows in its emphasis on precisely machined mounting components. Željko Rusan opened a gunsmith shop in 1986, and the business moved into dedicated scope-mount production in 1993. Based in Marija Bistrica, Croatia, Rusan focuses on hardware for attaching optics securely and repeatably to sporting and hunting firearms.

The company manufactures scope mounts, scope rings and Picatinny rails, along with firearm tuning products and adapter systems for modern electro-optics. It is also known for adapter clamps for clip-on sights and for adapters used with night-vision and thermal-imaging devices, including a clip-on sight adapter clamp introduced in 2009. That mix of traditional mounting products and newer optic interfaces makes Rusan particularly relevant in categories where mechanical fit and repeatable attachment matter as much as the optic itself.
