Recknagel UNIVERSAL-Interface Aluminum Scope Ring, 36mm

• 36 mm clamp diameter: This ring is sized for 36 mm scope tubes or objective sections, giving a secure attachment point for adding accessories without changing the main riflescope mount.
• UNIVERSAL interface: The top interface accepts compatible Picatinny rails and adapter plates, making it easier to add a red dot sight or other optical accessory in a compact, space-saving position.
• Freely selectable interface position: The ring can be installed with the interface rotated to the preferred angle around the scope tube, which helps tailor accessory placement to the rifle setup and shooting style.
• Aluminum construction: The aluminum body keeps weight to 100.00 g, reducing added bulk on the optic while still providing the rigidity needed for field use.
• Black finish: The matte black finish blends cleanly with modern hunting optics and tactical optics, helping the ring integrate neatly with the riflescope and mount.

About the Recknagel Accesories Series

Recknagel Accesories covers practical mounting components designed to expand how a riflescope can be used in the field. Within this family, one notable sub-group is the aluminum scope rings with UNIVERSAL interface, developed for attaching Picatinny rails and dedicated adapters directly to a scope. That concept gives hunters, sport shooters and professional users a way to add secondary aiming devices or other accessories without replacing the primary optic setup.

A defining characteristic of the series is that the UNIVERSAL interface rings can be mounted on either the scope’s objective or center tube, depending on the optic and the available space. The attachment position around the tube can also be chosen during installation, which makes the system adaptable to different rifle layouts and accessory combinations. In practical use, this series sits between a simple ring and a full mounting platform: it keeps the installation compact, preserves flexibility and supports clean integration of add-on equipment where rail space on the firearm itself may be limited.

About the Recknagel UNIVERSAL-Interface Aluminum Scope Ring, 36mm

The Recknagel UNIVERSAL-Interface Aluminum Scope Ring, 36mm is a specialized mounting accessory for shooters who want to add equipment directly to a riflescope with a 36 mm outside diameter at the mounting point. Instead of acting as a primary scope mount, this ring creates a stable interface for compatible top-mounted accessories, which is especially useful when a rifle needs a compact red dot sight or another optical add-on placed close to the main sight line.

Its key advantage is the ERA-TAC Universal Interface compatibility. This interface is intended for fitting matching rails or adapter plates, so the ring becomes a modular connection point rather than a fixed one-purpose part. Because the radial position can be selected during installation, the accessory can be placed where it is easiest to access and least likely to interfere with turrets, bolt operation or the shooter’s handling. That flexibility matters on hunting rifles and tactical optics setups alike, where available space is often limited.

The ring is made from aluminium, which keeps overall weight to 100.00 g and helps avoid unnecessary front or top heaviness on the scope. The black finish gives it a discreet appearance that matches most modern optics and mounts. For users building a clean, adaptable riflescope setup, this ring provides a straightforward way to add capability without moving to a larger or more complex mounting system.

About Recknagel

Recknagel is a German manufacturer of firearm and riflescope mounting systems, sights and hunting accessories. The company’s history began in 1867, when Adolf Recknagel started manufacturing firearm sights in Albrechts near Suhl, Thuringia. Over time, the range expanded to include scope mounts, Picatinny rails, triggers, safeties and other components used on hunting and sporting firearms.

A major step in the modern lineup came in 2010 with the launch of the ERATAC line of tactical mounts and accessories, reflecting Recknagel’s strong focus on precise, durable mounting solutions. The company later added hunting silencers in 2016, and in 2022 it came under the ownership of Dr. Moritz Fehrer. Across its product range, Recknagel is known for practical engineering and for serving both hunters and gunsmiths with mounting hardware and related firearm accessories made in Germany.
