Pachmayr Thompson Center Contender Forend with Adapter

• Contender-specific fit: Built for the Thompson Center Contender, this forend with adapter gives the handgun a properly matched front support surface for a more stable hold in the field or on the range.
• Rubber construction: The rubber body adds a more secure, less slippery contact point than hard surfaces, helping maintain control in wet weather, cold conditions, or during extended shooting sessions.
• Improved handling: Adding a dedicated forend helps the Contender sit more naturally in the support hand, which can make the pistol steadier for deliberate hunting shots and more comfortable under recoil.
• Adapter included: Because this model comes with adapter, it provides the parts needed for the intended installation without having to source the matching adapter separately.
• Made in the USA: USA manufacture is a practical advantage for shooters who want a proven accessory from an established domestic brand with long experience in recoil-control and handgun-grip products.

About the Pachmayr Accessories Series

Pachmayr Accessories covers a broad range of practical shooting components built around better control, improved comfort, and straightforward fitment across popular firearm platforms. The series includes handgun and revolver grips, rifle accessories, and recoil pads for rifles and shotguns, reflecting Pachmayr’s long focus on the parts of a firearm that most directly affect how it feels in the hand and under recoil. Rather than following a single style, the line spans traditional rubber designs, modern tactical grip options, and wood-laminate variants, so the series serves both field use and more classic firearm setups.

Across the range, the common theme is a functional approach to handling. Pachmayr accessories are typically designed to give the shooter a more secure purchase, better control during recoil, and a shape that supports steadier shooting from practical positions. In that sense, the series sits as a utility-focused part of the brand’s lineup: not decorative add-ons, but working components for hunting handguns, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns where grip texture, cushioning, and fit have a direct effect on comfort and shot placement.

About the Pachmayr Thompson Center Contender Forend with Adapter

The Pachmayr Thompson Center Contender Forend with Adapter is a purpose-built accessory for shooters who want a more controlled and comfortable front-end hold on the Thompson Center Contender. On a hunting handgun platform, the support hand does a great deal of the work in keeping the pistol steady through the shot. A dedicated forend improves that contact point, giving the firearm a more settled feel when shooting from field positions, from a rest, or during slow, deliberate sight-in work.

The use of rubber construction is especially important here. Compared with a harder surface, rubber offers a more secure grip and a slightly more forgiving feel in the hand, which helps when conditions are cold, damp, or when recoil starts to fatigue the shooter over a longer session. That added traction is useful on a Contender, where maintaining a repeatable support-hand position can make practical differences in stability and follow-through.

This version also includes the adapter, which makes it the more complete choice for shooters who need the matched mounting component with the forend itself. Finished in black and made in the USA, it fits naturally into Pachmayr’s long-running approach to handgun accessories: simple, durable parts designed to improve control rather than change the character of the firearm. For Contender owners building a practical hunting-handgun setup, that makes this forend a sensible handling upgrade.

About Pachmayr

Pachmayr was founded by Frank Pachmayr in 1929 and developed into one of the established names in firearm accessories, particularly in products that affect recoil management and grip security. The brand introduced its first recoil pad in 1949, and Pachmayr rubber handgun grips reached the market in the early 1960s, helping define the company’s reputation among shooters who wanted more control and comfort from hard-kicking firearms.

Today, Pachmayr is known for handgun grips, recoil pads, gunsmithing tools, and related shooting accessories. Its product range includes lines such as Diamond Pro, G10, Renegade, and American Legend, while recoil-reducing products are closely associated with the brand’s Decelerator material. Pachmayr joined Lyman in 1996, and the brand remains focused on practical components for shooters who value dependable fit, improved handling, and recoil control.
