Pachmayr Decelerator Slip-On Pad, 0.75 Ribbed

• Decelerator material: soft recoil-reducing construction helps cut felt impact, making hard-kicking rifles more comfortable over longer shooting sessions.
• Slip-on installation: fits over the existing buttstock without permanent modification, so it is a practical choice for rifles that need extra recoil control without gunsmithing.
• Speed-Mount insert: Pachmayr’s insert supports a smoother, snag-free shoulder mount, which helps the rifle come up cleanly in hunting or field use.
• 0.75 ribbed design: the added length can improve stock fit while the ribbed face keeps the pad quick to mount rather than dragging on clothing.
• Made in USA: domestic manufacture and Pachmayr’s long focus on recoil pads give this accessory the feel of a purpose-built shooting component rather than a generic add-on.

About the Pachmayr Accessories Series

Pachmayr Accessories covers a long-running range of shooting components built around practical upgrades for everyday firearms use. The series includes recoil pads for rifles and shotguns, along with grip options for handguns and revolvers, reflecting Pachmayr’s emphasis on control, comfort, and straightforward installation. Within the line, recoil-management products remain especially important, tracing back to Pachmayr’s first recoil pad in 1949.

Across the series, the design approach is functional rather than decorative. Many models focus on improving how a firearm handles under recoil, how securely it mounts, or how comfortably it can be used over repeated shots. Current rifle-accessory offerings include recoil pads and an AR-15 grip, showing that the range serves both traditional sporting rifles and more modern platforms. In practical terms, Pachmayr Accessories is aimed at shooters who want proven, easy-to-fit parts that improve field comfort and handling without changing the basic character of the firearm.

About the Pachmayr Decelerator Slip-On Pad, 0.75 Ribbed

The Pachmayr Decelerator Slip-On Pad, 0.75 Ribbed is a recoil-control accessory for rifles that combines the brand’s Decelerator material with a non-permanent slip-on format. That makes it useful for shooters who want to reduce felt recoil and slightly extend length of pull without altering the stock. On hunting rifles and general sporting rifles, that combination can make repeated shots less tiring and help the rifle settle more comfortably into the shoulder.

This model uses a ribbed face texture, which Pachmayr classifies as a lighter texture. In practice, that matters because a lighter face tends to mount more quickly and with less drag on clothing than more aggressive pad surfaces. For a field rifle that may be brought to the shoulder in one motion, the ribbed design supports a cleaner presentation while still providing a secure contact point.

The pad also benefits from Pachmayr’s Speed-Mount insert, a design intended to keep the mount smooth and snag-free. Combined with the recoil-absorbing internal design, it gives this slip-on pad a more refined feel than a simple rubber cover. The 0.75 profile adds useful extra length at the rear of the stock, which can help shooters fine-tune fit while gaining better recoil cushioning. For rifles that are uncomfortable with heavy loads or slightly short in stock length, this accessory offers a simple, practical solution.

About Pachmayr

Pachmayr was founded by Frank Pachmayr in 1929, and the company grew from a custom gun shop in Los Angeles, California into a well-known name in shooting accessories. The brand introduced its first recoil pad in 1949, then expanded into rubber handgun grips in the early 1960s, building a reputation for products that improve control and shooting comfort.

Today, Pachmayr is known for recoil pads, handgun grips, gunsmithing tools, and related shooting accessories. The brand joined Lyman in 1996, and its product range still reflects that long specialization in practical firearm upgrades. For recoil-related products in particular, Pachmayr is closely associated with its Decelerator material, which is used across several recoil-reducing designs. That history makes the brand especially relevant in categories where comfort, fit, and recoil management matter as much as appearance.
