Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting 2.5-10x50 IR

• Low-light 50 mm objective: The large objective lens helps the scope deliver a brighter sight picture at dawn, dusk, and in shaded woodland, where hunting shots are often taken.
• 2.5-10x magnification range: This zoom span covers fast, closer shots at the low end and gives enough reach for more deliberate placement at medium distance, making it a practical all-round hunting riflescope.
• Illuminated 4A IR Dot reticle: The red illuminated center helps the aiming point stand out against dark game or cluttered backgrounds in poor light, without making the reticle overly busy.
• 30 mm nitrogen-filled tube: The larger tube format, waterproof construction, and nitrogen filling support dependable use in changing weather while helping the optic resist internal fogging.
• Capped hunting turrets: Low-profile capped adjustments protect the zero from accidental movement during transport and field carry, which suits a riflescope intended to be set once and used with confidence.

About the Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting Series

The Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting series sits in the brand’s hunting-focused riflescope range as a line built around 30 mm tube construction, illuminated reticles, and practical low-light performance. The series is intended for hunters who need a scope that works across mixed terrain and changing light, especially in dawn, twilight, and forest settings where target contrast can drop quickly. Across the range, Nikko Stirling pairs multicoated lenses with its ETE Microlux optical coatings to reduce reflections and support a clearer image when light is limited.

Typical models in the series include compact driven-hunt configurations as well as broader all-round options such as 1-4x24, 1.5-6x42, 3-9x42, and 2.5-10x50, plus higher-magnification 3-12x versions. Shared design traits include waterproof, shock-proof construction, nitrogen filling, and illuminated reticle options intended for fast target acquisition in dim conditions. In practical terms, the series is designed around straightforward field use rather than exposed tactical handling: durable mechanics, familiar hunting reticles, and optical specifications that suit stalking, high-seat hunting, and general-purpose game shooting.

About the Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting 2.5-10x50 IR

The Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting 2.5-10x50 IR is an all-round hunting riflescope that balances a versatile zoom range with a strong low-light bias. At 2.5x, it remains usable for shorter-range opportunities and moving game in tighter terrain, while 10x magnification gives enough image scale for more careful shot placement across open ground. The 50 mm objective supports image brightness in the first and last minutes of legal light, which is where this model separates itself from smaller-objective hunting optics.

The scope uses a 4A IR Dot reticle in the second focal plane, so the reticle keeps the same apparent size throughout the zoom range. For hunting use, that means the reticle remains easy to see at low power and does not become visually heavy at higher magnification. The red illumination is intended for low-light aiming rather than bright daylight use, helping the center point stand out against dark fur, shadowed backgrounds, or dense woodland edges.

Mechanically, this model follows a classic hunting format with a 30 mm tube, capped turrets, and 1/4 MOA click adjustments. The capped design protects the settings during carry, while the multi-turn adjustment range is suited to zeroing rather than constant dialing in the field. A 100 mm eye relief helps maintain a comfortable shooting position, and the fast-focus eyepiece makes it easier to bring the reticle into sharp definition quickly. Fully multicoated lenses, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction round out a scope built for regular hunting use in variable weather.

About Nikko Stirling

Nikko Stirling traces its beginnings to 1956, when it was established by Malcolm John Fuller. The brand focuses on sport optics for hunters and marksmen, with a product range that covers riflescopes, binoculars, reflex sights, and laser rangefinders. Within its riflescope lineup, Nikko Stirling offers families such as Diamond Hunting, Diamond FFP, Metor, Panamax, Airking, and Mountmaster, showing a broad emphasis on both hunting optics and shooting applications.

Beyond riflescopes, the company’s catalog also includes products such as the Metor HD binocular line, the PRO-T5, PRO-T4, and XT4 reflex sights, and the NSLRF laser rangefinder range. That mix reflects a long-standing specialization in practical field optics: products designed around clear aiming, dependable mechanics, and configurations that match real hunting and shooting use rather than purely target-oriented formats.
