Meprolight Tru-Dot for CZ P-01

• Self-illuminated tritium dots: the three-dot sight picture stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, giving a constant aiming reference for defensive carry or duty use.
• Fixed steel construction: a solid steel build resists daily holster wear and hard handling while keeping the sight set simple and dependable once installed.
• Three-dot alignment: the green front and rear dots create a familiar sight picture that helps the eye pick up alignment quickly in both bright and dim conditions.
• Direct replacement design: Tru-Dot sights are made to replace factory front and rear sights on compatible pistols, making them a practical upgrade for shooters who want night capability without changing handling.
• Always-on operation: because the illumination is built into the tritium vials, the sights are ready at any time with no switches, charging routine, or battery management.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s established family of self-illuminated handgun sights, built for shooters who want a familiar iron-sight picture that remains usable from daylight into low-light conditions. In Meprolight’s handgun range, the series covers fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height sights, with model-specific fits for a wide range of pistols. That broad fitment makes the line relevant to concealed-carry users, service pistols, and general defensive handguns.

A defining feature of the series is its three-dot tritium sight picture, designed to stay visually consistent as ambient light drops. Because the tritium illumination works without batteries, Tru-Dot sights suit pistols that need to remain ready with minimal maintenance. The series is also built around the idea of replacing the factory front and rear sights on compatible handguns, so the shooter keeps the straightforward handling of conventional irons while gaining low-light visibility. Across the range, Meprolight also offers different configurations, including adjustable rear sights and selected color combinations, which lets the series cover both simple carry setups and more specialized handgun roles.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for CZ P-01

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for CZ P-01 is a fixed tritium night sight set made for shooters who want a durable, uncomplicated upgrade for this compact CZ pistol. Its core advantage is the green three-dot alignment, which remains easy to read in poor light while still presenting a familiar picture in daylight. That matters on a pistol such as the CZ P-01, often chosen for concealed carry, home defense, or service-style use, where lighting conditions can change quickly and there is no time to manage electronics.

The fixed configuration keeps the system simple. With no adjustment controls to snag or shift, the sight set favors dependable everyday carry and hard use over range-only tuning. The square rear sight gives a clear reference around the front dot, helping the shooter center the front sight cleanly for deliberate shots while still allowing fast visual pickup at shorter distances. Because the sights are self-illuminated, they stay on continuously and do not rely on batteries, switches, or charging habits.

The steel housing also suits the role of a working handgun sight. It adds resistance to wear from repeated draws, handling, and routine carry, while the black finish keeps the overall appearance subdued. In practice, this model is best understood as a practical iron-sight upgrade for the CZ P-01: it preserves the pistol’s straightforward handling, but adds round-the-clock visibility and a robust sight picture better suited to defensive use.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian markets. It is a division of SK Group, and its product range covers conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, magnified optics, night-vision systems, and thermal devices.

That background is especially relevant in the handgun-sight category. Meprolight has long focused on practical sighting systems for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines, with an emphasis on durable construction and low-light capability. Its experience with self-illuminated tritium sights is central to products such as the Tru-Dot series, where the goal is to provide a simple aiming reference that remains usable without batteries or external power.
