Meprolight HVS for Sig Sauer 9 mm, .357 Sig P

• Self-illuminated tritium sights: The sight picture stays visible in darkness and transitional light without batteries, making the pistol easier to align when ambient light is poor.
• Three-dot layout with U-notch rear: This combination gives a fast, intuitive sight picture that helps the eye center the front sight quickly for defensive shooting and general carry use.
• Steel construction: A steel body stands up better to daily holster wear, repeated slide manipulation, and hard use than softer sight materials.
• Fixed sight design: A non-adjustable setup keeps the profile simple and durable, with fewer parts to shift out of position during regular carry or training.
• High-visibility HVS pattern: Designed for both daylight and low-light use, the system helps the front sight remain easy to pick up across changing lighting conditions.

About the Meprolight HVS Series

Meprolight HVS is the earlier name of the handgun sight family that Meprolight later renamed Hyper-Bright in 2021. Introduced around the 2020 SHOT Show, this series was developed as a practical pistol-sight option for shooters who need one set of sights to work in bright daylight, indoor light, and darkness. The concept centers on self-illuminated tritium in both front and rear sights, so the sight picture remains available without batteries or switches.

Across the family, these sights use a three-dot arrangement with a U-shaped rear notch, a layout chosen for fast front-sight acquisition and straightforward alignment under stress. The series is built in steel construction and offered for multiple handgun makes, which reflects its role as a durable upgrade for defensive pistols, service handguns, and everyday-carry setups. Depending on the model, front-sight contrast rings are available in colors such as orange, green, and yellow, helping the shooter pick up the front blade more quickly in daylight while retaining tritium visibility after dark.

About the Meprolight HVS for Sig Sauer 9 mm, .357 Sig P

Meprolight HVS for Sig Sauer 9 mm, .357 Sig P is a dedicated handgun night sight set built for shooters who want a simple, always-ready iron-sight system on a compatible SIG Sauer pistol. Its defining feature is the self-illuminated tritium design, which keeps the dots visible in low light without relying on batteries, charging, or external light exposure. That makes it especially well suited to defensive carry, duty use, and home-protection roles where lighting conditions can change quickly.

The sight picture uses a three-dot alignment with a U-notch rear sight. In practice, this layout helps the eye center the front sight naturally, supporting faster alignment at short to moderate handgun distances. Because the sights are fixed, the setup favors robustness and consistency over user-adjustable settings, which is often the preferred approach on carry pistols that need dependable zero retention and a clean profile.

The housing is made from steel and finished in black, giving the sight set the durability expected for regular holster use and repeated slide cycling. As part of the HVS concept, the design balances daytime visibility with low-light capability, so the pistol remains usable across a wider range of real shooting conditions than standard non-illuminated factory sights.
