MAKlassic Pivot upper parts, BRNO CZ 550, 30 mm

• Steel upper parts: The steel construction gives the mount the rigidity needed to keep a riflescope aligned under repeated recoil and regular field use.
• 30 mm scope compatibility: Built for 30 mm scope tubes, these upper parts provide a secure interface for a wide range of hunting optics and general-purpose riflescopes.
• Adjustable windage: Windage adjustment in the mount helps center the optic more precisely, which can preserve internal scope adjustment for zeroing.
• 0 MOA configuration: A flat, non-canted setup suits conventional zeroing distances and practical hunting use where extra elevation bias is not required.
• Low mounting geometry: With a 14.00 mm BH and 29.00 mm H, this configuration helps keep the optic close to the bore for a natural cheek weld and consistent shooting position.

About the MAKlassic Series

MAKlassic is MAK’s traditional two-piece pivot-mount series, developed for shooters who want a removable scope mounting system with a classic mechanical layout. The series was documented in MAK catalogues by 2019 and includes model-specific configurations for different rifles as well as versions for both scope tubes and optic rails. That model-specific approach is important in hunting optics, because it allows the mount geometry to match the rifle and optic combination more closely.

Within the range, different mount heights, front-foot offsets, and locking styles allow the system to be adapted to different rifles and sighting setups. MAKlassic mounts are used on rifles and break-action firearms where a pivot design is valued for its compact profile and repeatable positioning. The series also includes variants with rotating locks and lever locks, reflecting a design philosophy centered on secure engagement, straightforward handling, and compatibility with established sporting rifle platforms.

About the MAKlassic Pivot upper parts, BRNO CZ 550, 30 mm

The MAKlassic Pivot upper parts for BRNO CZ 550 are intended for shooters building a classic pivot-mount setup around a 30 mm riflescope. As the upper portion of the mounting system, they are designed to hold the optic securely while matching the established pivot-mount format used on sporting rifles. For a rifle such as the CZ 550 platform, that matters because the mount must do more than simply clamp a scope tube; it also has to maintain alignment and support repeatable zero retention in normal hunting use.

The use of steel is a practical advantage here. Steel upper parts resist wear at the contact points and provide the stiffness needed for a stable optic interface, especially on rifles that may see frequent removal and reinstallation of the scope. The adjustable windage feature adds further utility by allowing the scope to be aligned more efficiently with the rifle. In practice, that can reduce the amount of internal windage correction required in the optic itself, leaving more adjustment range available where it is most useful.

This version uses a 0 MOA inclination, making it a sensible choice for general hunting and standard-distance shooting rather than a specialized long-range setup. Its black finish keeps the appearance subdued and appropriate for traditional rifle builds, while the specified mounting heights support a low, controlled optic position that helps maintain a comfortable cheek weld and consistent sight picture.

About MAK

MAK is a German brand associated with Kilic Feintechnik GmbH in Schwebheim, Germany. The company develops and manufactures optical mounts, optics, and electronic products, serving civilian and government markets that include hunters, sports shooters, and professional users. Its product range covers mounting systems as well as sighting products such as MAKdot red-dot sights, MAKstorm prism sights, and MAKpro riflescopes.

The brand’s portfolio shows a strong focus on practical integration between firearm, optic, and mount. MAK also develops standardized products alongside customized solutions for professional use, and the MAK Group identifies patented solutions within its optics, mounts, and electronics. In the mounting category, that background is relevant because it reflects a company built around mechanical fit, repeatable attachment, and application-specific design rather than generic one-size-fits-all hardware.
