MAKflex One-Piece Pivot Mount for Merkel, LM rail

• One-piece pivot design: The single-piece construction keeps the optic interface aligned as one unit, which helps maintain repeatable positioning when the mount is opened and closed on a compatible rifle.
• Merkel Pivot System fit: Built for the Merkel Pivot System, this mount gives a dedicated mechanical interface instead of a universal compromise, supporting a secure and consistent installation.
• LM Rail interface: The LM Rail top side accepts compatible rail-equipped optics without ring clamping, which simplifies mounting and supports even contact along the rail.
• Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight under control while still providing the rigidity needed for a hunting rifle mount that is handled, transported, and reinstalled repeatedly.
• Low 4.00 mm build height: The 4.00 mm BH height helps keep the optic close to the bore, supporting a more natural head position and a tidy overall rifle setup.

About the MAKflex Series

MAKflex is MAK’s modular pivot bridge mount family for rifles and break-action firearms. The series is built around the idea that different rifles and different optics often require different interfaces, so MAKflex is offered in multiple configurations for scope tubes and optic footprints including Picatinny, Zeiss, Swarovski, and Aimpoint Micro. That modular approach makes the series relevant both for classic hunting rifles and for more specialized optic setups.

A defining characteristic of the MAKflex series is its mix of mounting options and locking styles. Depending on the version, the mount can be configured with different ring diameters, pivot-foot options, and either a rotating lock or a lever lock. Variants are also made for interfaces such as EAW base plates, Merkel mounts, Leupold Quick Release bases, and original Steyr mounts. In practice, that gives the series a broad role within MAK’s lineup: it is a flexible mounting platform for users who want a pivot-style solution matched to a specific rifle and optic standard rather than a generic one-size-fits-all mount.

About the MAKflex One-Piece Pivot Mount for Merkel, LM rail

The MAKflex One-Piece Pivot Mount for Merkel, LM rail is a dedicated mounting solution for rifles that use the Merkel Pivot System and optics built with an LM Rail interface. That combination makes it especially well suited to hunting rifles where a low, clean installation and dependable return to position matter as much as simple attachment. By using a one-piece layout, the mount keeps the upper structure unified, which supports consistent optic alignment across the full mounting surface.

The LM Rail format is a practical choice for shooters who prefer a rail-based scope connection over conventional rings. Because the optic is supported along the rail rather than clamped at two separate tube points, installation is straightforward and the setup remains visually tidy. The specified 4.00 mm build height also helps keep the sight line low, which can improve cheek weld and preserve balanced rifle handling in the field.

Its aluminium construction gives the mount a useful balance between strength and manageable weight, making it appropriate for a rifle that may be carried over long distances. As part of the MAKflex family, this model focuses on rifle-specific compatibility rather than broad universality, which is exactly the advantage for users who want a mount tailored to a Merkel platform and an LM-rail optic.

About MAK

MAK is a German brand associated with Kilic Feintechnik GmbH in Schwebheim, Germany. The company develops and manufactures optical mounts, optics, and electronic products, giving it a product range that extends beyond mounting hardware alone. That broader focus is relevant in this category because it reflects an engineering approach centered on how optics and mounts work together as a system.

Within its lineup, MAK serves civilian and government markets, including hunters, sports shooters, and professional users, while also offering standardized products and customized solutions. The brand’s portfolio includes mounting lines such as MAKuick and MAKmilmont, along with optics families like MAKdot, MAKstorm, and MAKpro. MAK also identifies patented solutions within its optics, mounts, and electronics, and it produces electronic accessories such as the MAKcam for riflescopes and spotting scopes.
