Hikmicro Gryphon 850 IR Torch

1. Optimal Wavelength: Emitting a powerful 850 nm infrared light, this torch is specifically engineered to maximize the performance of both analog night vision devices (which typically detect up to 850 nm) and digital night vision devices (capable of detecting up to 950 nm). This ensures exceptional clarity and extended viewing range in complete darkness.

2. Adjustable Beam: The torch features an adjustable focus lens, allowing users to seamlessly transition between a tight, concentrated beam for long-range target identification and a wide floodlight for broad area illumination. This adaptability makes it suitable for diverse scenarios from hunting to security.

3. Rugged Construction: Crafted from a high-grade aviation aluminum alloy, the Gryphon 850 IR Torch boasts exceptional durability and impact resistance. Its robust design ensures reliable performance even in the most demanding outdoor conditions, making it a dependable accessory for any night vision setup.

4. Stealth and Detection Awareness: While the 850 nm wavelength provides superior brightness and range for night vision devices, it produces a faint, visible red glow that can be detected by certain wild animals like boars and deer at moderate ranges (up to 50 meters) if pointed directly at their eyes. Users should be aware of this for optimal stealth.

ABOUT THE HIKMICRO GRYPHON 850 IR TORCH

The Hikmicro Gryphon 850 IR Torch stands out as a crucial accessory for any night vision enthusiast or professional, particularly those utilizing the Hikmicro Gryphon series. What makes this model unique is its powerful 850 nm infrared wavelength, precisely tuned to significantly enhance the detection and viewing capabilities of both analog and digital night vision devices. Analog night vision, which typically works best with wavelengths up to 850 nm, will experience unparalleled brightness, while digital night vision devices, capable of detecting infrared light up to 950 nm, will also benefit from its strong illumination. This torch is ideal for hunting, tactical operations, and general observation, providing critical visibility in moonless nights. Built with a robust aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, it promises durability and resilience in harsh environments. The torch uses an efficient LED emitter to provide a consistent and wide beam. It is important to note that IR illuminators with wavelengths under 875 nm, such as this 850 nm model, can be detected by wild boar and deer if pointed directly at their eyes at moderate ranges, typically up to 50 meters, due to a slight visible red glow. For absolute stealth, a 940 nm illuminator (often laser-based for higher power) would be preferred, but the 850 nm offers superior brightness for many applications, delivering a powerful push for your night vision system.
