HI VIZ LiteWave Rear Sight, SigSauer P-Series

• LiteWave fiber-optic system: The rear sight uses HIVIZ LitePipes to gather ambient light, giving a brighter aiming reference in daylight and helping the eye pick up the sight picture faster.
• Interchangeable rear LitePipes: Supplied color options let the sight picture be tuned to personal preference or range conditions without replacing the whole sight.
• All-metal steel construction: A steel body gives this handgun rear sight the durability needed for regular carry, training, and range use while keeping the sight secure on the slide.
• 0.140 wide square notch: The square rear notch provides a clear, practical sight window that supports quicker front-sight acquisition and a cleaner alignment picture.
• Fixed #8-height fit for SIG P-Series: Built for SIG Sauer P-Series pistols with a fixed rear sight height #8, this model keeps the setup simple and robust for shooters who want a dependable non-adjustable rear sight.

About the Hi Viz LITEWAVE Series

Hi Viz LITEWAVE is a fiber-optic sight family introduced in November 2014 and designed for shooters who want a brighter, more visible sight picture than standard iron sights provide. The series covers both handgun and rifle applications, with front and rear configurations available for a wide range of firearms. Across the line, the defining feature is the use of LitePipe fiber-optic elements, which gather ambient light to create a bold aiming reference that stands out in normal daylight and many mixed-light conditions.

A key characteristic of the series is its diagonal-wave exoskeleton design. This structure exposes more of the LitePipe to available light while also protecting it from impact and handling wear. LITEWAVE sights also use interchangeable LitePipes, allowing shooters to change sight color to suit preference, background contrast, or intended use. In practical terms, that makes the series suitable for competition, recreational shooting, training, hunting, and general field use. The overall design remains holster-friendly and straightforward, focusing on a fast sight picture, durable construction, and easy visibility rather than unnecessary complexity.

About the HI VIZ LiteWave Rear Sight, SigSauer P-Series

The HI VIZ LiteWave Rear Sight, SigSauer P-Series is a fixed rear handgun sight built for SIG Sauer P-Series pistols with fixed rear sight height #8. It is intended for shooters who want a brighter rear reference than a plain black notch while keeping the simplicity and durability of a non-adjustable iron-sight setup. Because it is a rear-only unit, it is designed to be matched with the corresponding HIVIZ LiteWave front sight for P-Series, creating a consistent fiber-optic sight picture for range work, training, and field carry.

The sight uses interchangeable LitePipes in green, red, and black, which gives the shooter flexibility in how prominent the rear dots appear. A brighter color can help define the rear sight quickly in daylight, while a darker option can reduce distraction for those who prefer the front sight to dominate the sight picture. The 0.140 wide square notch supports a clear view around the front sight, helping with faster alignment and more precise shot placement than a cramped rear notch can provide.

Its steel construction keeps the sight robust enough for regular use on a working pistol, and the fixed design avoids the extra bulk and potential movement associated with adjustable target sights. At only 10.00 g, it adds very little weight to the slide. This makes it a practical upgrade for shooters who want improved visibility and a cleaner rear sight picture on compatible SIG P-Series handguns without changing the handling of the pistol.

About HiViz

HiViz began in 1996 with a single shooting-related product and grew into a specialist maker of sights and accessories for handguns, shotguns, and rifles. The company is headquartered in Laramie, Wyoming, United States, and is known for focusing on practical sight visibility in real shooting conditions. Its product range includes fiber-optic sights, tritium sights, recoil pads, and shooting accessories, with sight families such as TriViz, CompSight, LiteWave, and LiteWave H3.

A defining part of the brand’s approach is the use of removable and reusable LitePipes, which let shooters replace or change fiber-optic elements instead of replacing the entire sight. In the LiteWave line, HiViz also uses an exoskeleton design with an integral LitePipe locking system to combine light exposure with protection. That emphasis on durable construction and adaptable sight pictures has made the company a well-established name in aftermarket firearm sights.
