I have a sigP226 mk25 navy. I don't want to mill the slide. Will this adaptor plate work?

Yes — the C-More STS dovetail mount STSMT-140 is designed to install into the factory rear-sight dovetail on a Sig P226, so it will let you mount C-More STS/STS2/RTS2 sights without milling the slide (it replaces the rear sight rather than requiring an optic cut).

A few practical notes so you don’t run into surprises:

What it actually does
- The STSMT-140 is a dovetail plate that installs where the factory rear sight sits and provides the STS/STS2/RTS2 footprint for your red dot — no slide milling required.
What to check on your MK25 before buying/installing
- Make sure your MK25 has the standard removable rear-sight dovetail (most P226 / MK25 slides do).
- If your MK25 has fixed or welded sights (uncommon), or some factory modification, then this mount won’t install without slide work.
Performance and tradeoffs to expect
- Dovetail adapters are a perfectly valid no-mill solution, but they usually sit slightly higher than a milled / recessed optic — check sight picture/cowitness with your iron sights after mounting.
- A dovetail mount is mechanically different than a cut slide (some shooters prefer a milled slide for the lowest possible optic height and the most permanent mounting). Many shooters are happy with dovetail adapters for range/defensive use.
Installation tips
- Remove the factory rear sight, install the C-More dovetail plate per the included instructions and hardware, torque screws as recommended, and verify zero and mechanical security before use. The plate is sold with mounting hardware; follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
