Beretta Microcore Recoil Pad, Trap

• MicroCore construction: The open-cell polyurethane design compresses progressively under recoil, helping spread impact over a broader area for a softer feel during long trap sessions.
• Trap-specific fit: Built for trap stock 12 GA configurations, this pad suits competition-oriented shotgun setups where consistent mount and controlled recoil matter most.
• Smooth shouldering: The surface is designed to slide into the shoulder pocket more easily, which helps maintain a clean gun mount without snagging on shooting vests or clothing.
• Light, adaptable design: The pad stays relatively light while remaining fit-friendly, making it a practical choice for shooters who want recoil reduction without adding unnecessary bulk to the stock.
• Stable support after the shot: As the material expands on firing, it increases contact with the shoulder, helping the shotgun stay planted for better control on follow-through.

About the Microcore Series

Beretta Microcore recoil pads are designed for shooters who want a more refined interface between shotgun and shoulder, especially in hunting and competition shooting disciplines where repeated recoil can affect comfort and consistency. Within Beretta's accessory range, the series sits as a performance-focused upgrade over conventional hard rubber pads, using a material concept developed around the needs of active shotgun use rather than simple stock protection.

The defining feature of the series is its open-cell polyurethane construction. This material gives the pad a softer initial feel, but the practical advantage is not softness alone: it also allows the pad to react progressively under recoil and to expand against the shoulder for more secure support. Microcore pads are also known for being light and fit-friendly, which matters to shooters adjusting stock length or tailoring a gun to a specific discipline. Across the range, Beretta offers versions for different stock shapes and shooting applications, so the series is not one generic pad but a family built around the different mounting styles and recoil-management needs of field, sporting, skeet and trap shotguns.

About the Beretta Microcore Recoil Pad, Trap

The Beretta Microcore Recoil Pad, Trap is a competition-oriented shotgun accessory made for shooters who want a recoil pad matched to the mounting style and stock geometry of trap shooting. In this discipline, the gun is fired repeatedly from a consistent stance, so recoil control is not only about comfort but also about maintaining rhythm, preserving concentration and keeping the gun settled for the next target. This Trap version addresses that need with a shape intended for trap stock 12 GA setups.

Its main advantage comes from the MicroCore material, an open-cell polyurethane that compresses and then expands progressively during recoil. In practice, that means the recoil impulse feels less abrupt than with a firmer conventional pad, while the expanding contact area helps the butt stay planted against the shoulder. The pad is also designed to be soft, light and fittable, which is useful for competition guns where balance, stock length and mounting consistency all matter. Another practical detail is the smooth shouldering behavior: the pad slides into position more easily during the mount, reducing the chance of the stock catching on clothing. With its 128.00 mm height and trap-specific purpose, this Beretta shotgun accessory is aimed at shooters who want a more controlled, repeatable feel from their gun without changing the character of the stock itself.

About Beretta

Beretta traces its origins to 1526 in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, and the company remains based there today. It manufactures firearms for both civilian and military use, with a product range that extends across hunting, competition shooting and tactical applications. Alongside firearms, Beretta also produces clothing and accessories, giving it a broad presence in the shooting world rather than a narrow focus on one product type alone.

That background is especially relevant to products such as the Microcore series, which reflects Beretta's long involvement in shotgun shooting disciplines. The company applies that experience not only to complete firearms but also to supporting components that influence fit, recoil management and handling. In practical terms, Beretta's reputation in this category comes from designing accessories that work within the needs of real hunting and competition platforms, including shotguns such as the Silver Pigeon III, A300 Ultima and DT11.
