ATN Mars 4 640 2.5-25x Product description

  • 640x480 thermal sensor: The higher-resolution sensor gives the scope more image detail to work with, helping separate animals from background clutter and making target recognition easier before digital zoom is applied.
  • 2.5-25x magnification range: A low native magnification keeps the sight picture more manageable at shorter distances, while the extended top end supports precise shot placement when the target is farther out.
  • Long 1950 m detection range: Strong detection capability helps spot heat sources early, giving more time to assess movement, terrain and shooting position before closing the distance.
  • Smart HD recording and Wi-Fi connectivity: Built-in video capture and wireless streaming let the scope document hunts, review shot placement and share the live view without adding external accessories.
  • 16-hour internal battery life: The integrated Li-ion power system supports long sessions in the field with less concern about frequent charging or changing batteries during a hunt.

About the ATN Mars 4 Series

ATN Mars 4 is the company’s fourth-generation Smart HD thermal riflescope series, built for hunters and shooters who want more than a basic thermal image. The series centers on the Obsidian IV dual-core processor, which supports the digital functions that define the platform: ballistic tools, one-shot zeroing, Recoil Activated Video, profile management and wireless connectivity. Rather than treating thermal imaging as a stand-alone viewing system, the Mars 4 line combines thermal detection with a full digital operating environment.

Across the series, ATN offered models with 384x288 or 640x480 sensors, different objective lens sizes and several magnification ranges, so users could choose a setup for woodland hunting, open-country scanning or more deliberate shooting at longer distances. Shared features such as simultaneous video recording and Wi-Fi streaming, a smart rangefinder function and an electronic compass gave the line a broader field role than simple target detection alone. Within ATN’s thermal lineup, Mars 4 sits as a feature-rich family that emphasizes practical hunting tools, digital recording and adaptable thermal performance in a riflescope format.

About the ATN Mars 4 640 2.5-25x

The ATN Mars 4 640 2.5-25x is configured for shooters who need both broad thermal awareness and the ability to zoom in for more deliberate shot placement. Its 640x480 thermal sensor gives this model a stronger information base than lower-resolution units, which matters when trying to read animal shape, movement and separation from vegetation or uneven terrain. Combined with a stated 1950.00 m detection range, it is well suited to scanning larger areas and identifying heat signatures before they move into shooting distance.

The 2.50 x to 25.00 x magnification range makes this model especially versatile. At the lower end, the wider field of view is more practical for searching and following moving targets. At higher magnification, the scope gives the shooter a more precise aiming view for careful holds, although as with any digital thermal optic, the greatest image clarity comes from making the most of the native sensor detail before pushing zoom too far. The Micro - HD 1280x720 display presents the thermal image with a crisp viewing surface, helping menus, reticles and scene detail remain easier to interpret during extended use.

ATN equips the scope with a multi-reticle system, built-in image and video recording, video output and WiFi connectivity, so it works as both a sighting system and a recording platform. In the field, that means fewer add-ons and easier review of shot sequences or observations after the session. The 16.00 h internal Li-ion battery supports long outings, while the aluminium housing, waterproof and fogproof construction, and operating range of -28°C to 48°C make the scope appropriate for demanding weather and night hunting conditions.

About ATN

ATN was founded in 1995 in Silicon Valley, California, and it focuses on night-vision, thermal-imaging, and digital day-and-night optics. The company is now headquartered in Doral, Florida and has built its reputation around electronic sporting optics rather than conventional glass riflescopes. Its product range covers thermal devices, digital day/night sights and traditional image-intensifier night vision, giving ATN a broad base in electro-optics for hunting and observation.

A key part of ATN’s development has been its move toward integrated digital platforms. The company introduced the X-Sight II HD series in 2015 and later brought in products based on its Obsidian 4 Dual Core platform in 2018. That background is directly relevant to the Mars 4 family, where image processing, recording, wireless functions and ballistic tools are as important as the thermal sensor itself. ATN’s product design is therefore closely associated with feature-rich digital optics that combine observation, aiming and onboard recording in one unit.
