AD SureFire 951 light mount

• QD Auto Lock Lever System: The patented quick-detach lever gives fast on-off mounting on a Picatinny rail while staying adjustable for both in-spec and out-of-spec rails, which helps maintain a secure fit across different rifles and accessory setups.
• SureFire 951 Type Compatibility: Built as a dedicated mount for SureFire 951 type weapon lights, it provides a straightforward way to add illumination without improvised adapters or extra bulk.
• 6061-T6 Aluminum Construction: The aluminum body keeps weight low while providing the rigidity needed for hard use on a firearm, making it suitable for rifles that are carried for long periods or used in training.
• Type III Hard-Coat Anodized Finish: The hard-coat finish improves resistance to wear, handling marks, and environmental exposure, which matters on a mount that is repeatedly attached, removed, and exposed to field conditions.
• Tool-Free Adjustment: The lever can be adjusted with fingers or a flat-blade screwdriver and configured to lock forward or rearward, making installation easier when rail space or surrounding accessories limit access.

About the AD Accessories Series

American Defense’s AD Accessories series covers practical mounting and support components built around the same design approach as the company’s optic mounts. The range includes light mounts, bipod mounts, rail components, and other firearm accessories, giving users a consistent mounting system across different rifles and accessory types. A defining feature throughout the series is the patented Auto Lock lever system, which is designed to fit both in-spec and out-of-spec rail systems and can be adjusted without proprietary tools.

Within the American Defense lineup, the series serves shooters who need durable hardware for law enforcement, military, competition, hunting, and recreational use. The design philosophy is straightforward: solid rail engagement, repeatable attachment, and practical field serviceability. American Defense also states that its mount products use 6061-T6 aluminum with Type III hard-coat anodizing, a combination chosen to balance strength, corrosion resistance, and manageable weight. For users building a rifle around lights, optics, or support accessories, the AD Accessories family focuses on dependable attachment rather than unnecessary complexity.

About the AD SureFire 951 light mount

The AD SureFire 951 light mount is a compact Picatinny mounting solution built for shooters who want a dedicated way to attach a SureFire 951 type weapon light. Its main advantage is not complexity, but speed and consistency: the mount uses American Defense’s patented QD Auto Lock lever system so the light can be attached or removed quickly while still clamping securely to a wide range of rail dimensions. That is useful on rifles that alternate between day use, low-light use, and transport configurations.

The mount is made from 6061-T6 aluminum, which keeps overall weight down while still providing the stiffness needed for a firearm-mounted accessory. For a light mount, low mass matters because it adds less forward weight to the rifle and has less effect on handling during transitions or extended carry. The Type III hard-coat anodized finish adds surface durability, helping the mount stand up to repeated installation, sling contact, and general field wear.

In practical use, the Auto Lock system is what sets this model apart. It can be adjusted without proprietary tools, using either fingers or a flat-blade screwdriver, and the lever can be configured to lock toward the front or rear. That flexibility helps when rail space is limited by other accessories or when the user wants the lever positioned away from controls and support-hand contact points. For rifles built around a Picatinny interface, this American Defense mount offers a simple, durable way to secure a weapon light with quick-detach convenience.
