ABOUT THE IBEX SERIES

The ThermTec Ibex series is a lineup of thermal imaging riflescopes built around a shared set of imaging and shooting technology, with individual models differentiated mainly by sensor resolution, objective lens size, and magnification range. The series spans the Ibex 320L, Ibex 335L, and Ibex 635L, letting hunters choose a model matched to their required detection distance, from compact entry-level optics up to longer-range configurations.

All Ibex models share a 0.5" AMOLED display with 1600×1200 resolution, an integrated 1000 m laser rangefinder (L designation), a built-in ballistic calculator, and ThermTec's Thermal Auto Shooting System (TASS). A Central Turret Focus System keeps the main controls within easy reach of the shooting hand, while a replaceable and rechargeable 18650 battery provides up to 6 hours of operation per cell. Multiple reticle patterns and colors, up to 6 zeroing profiles, freeze zeroing, picture-in-picture, and Recoil Activated Video (RAV) round out the shooting feature set.

The series is built around ThermTec's AI Calibration and Thermal Super Resolution image processing, aimed at keeping the thermal picture clear and stable across varying scene temperatures. ABOUT THE MODEL (THERMTEC IBEX 635L)

The ThermTec Ibex 635L is the highest-resolution model in the Ibex series, built around a 640×512, 12 µm uncooled microbolometer with NETD below 18 mK and a frame rate of 50 Hz. Paired with a 35 mm F0.8 objective lens, it provides a detection range of up to 1800 m and a field of view of 12.5° × 10° (21.9 × 17.6 m at 100 m), giving a good balance between scanning width and image detail for locating and identifying game at distance.

Magnification runs from a 2.2× optical base through a 1.0–4.0× digital zoom, for a combined magnification of up to 8.8×, suiting medium- to long-range hunting situations. The image is shown on a 0.5" AMOLED display at 1600×1200 resolution with 6 selectable color palettes, and the aiming point is provided through 8 reticle patterns available in 5 colors, letting the shooter pick the combination best suited to the terrain and target.

The integrated 1000 m laser rangefinder feeds directly into the onboard ballistic calculator, while the Thermal Auto Shooting System (TASS) supports the shooting process itself. Up to 6 zeroing profiles with manual and freeze zeroing make it practical to move between rifles or loads without re-zeroing from scratch, and picture-in-picture keeps the reticle area magnified for a finer aiming reference. Recoil Activated Video (RAV) automatically captures footage around the moment of the shot, and photo/video recording with audio is stored on the 64 GB internal memory, with a USB-C port used for both data transfer and charging, alongside Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity to a mobile device.

Mechanically, the Ibex 635L uses a Central Turret Focus System, mounts on standard 30 mm rings, and is rated for recoil up to 6000 J, making it suitable for a wide range of hunting calibers. The housing is sealed to IP67 and rated for operation from -20°C to +50°C. Power comes from a replaceable and rechargeable 18650 battery, rated for up to 6 hours per cell, with a second battery included in the box for extended field use.
