Sordin Classic HPE Earmuffs

• High Attenuation (SNR 34 dB): The HPE version of the Sordin Classic delivers a Single Number Rating of 34 dB (NRR 26 dB), making it suitable for very loud working environments and above 110 dB(A) noise exposure.
• Foam-Filled Sealing Rings: Thick, soft, foam-filled sealing rings conform to the shape of the head, giving a comfortable seal that maintains attenuation over long periods of continuous wear.
• Wide, Ventilated Headband: A wide headband with ventilated padding spreads clamping pressure evenly across the head, reducing pressure points during extended use.
• Lightweight, Non-Metal Construction: At 249 g, the earmuffs use a non-metal build that is approved for cleanroom and medical environments where metal parts are restricted.
• Two-Point Adjustment: The headband uses a two-point adjustment system, allowing an individualized, secure fit for a wide range of head sizes.

ABOUT THE CLASSIC SERIES

The Sordin Classic series is Sordin's line of passive, industrial-grade hearing protectors, developed for professional users who need reliable, all-day noise protection in demanding work environments such as manufacturing, construction, and forestry. The series is built around the same core design principles as the rest of Sordin's product range: durable construction, dependable attenuation, and comfort suited to full working shifts.

Within the Classic series, three attenuation levels are available: XLS (entry-level), EXC (mid-level), and HPE (highest attenuation), each offered in headband or helmet-mounted configurations with a range of helmet adapters. All Classic models use a non-metal construction, making them suitable for cleanroom and medical settings where metallic components are not permitted.

The Classic series relies entirely on passive protection, without any electronic sound processing, keeping the design simple, robust, and largely maintenance-free. This makes it a straightforward choice for users who need consistent, high-level hearing protection without the added features and battery dependency of Sordin's electronic earmuff lines.

ABOUT THE MODEL (SORDIN CLASSIC HPE)

The Sordin Classic HPE is the highest-attenuation headband model in the Classic series, intended for use in particularly loud environments where maximum passive noise reduction is required. It provides a Single Number Rating of 34 dB and a Noise Reduction Rating of 26 dB, placing it at the top end of Sordin's passive hearing protection lineup.

Comfort during extended wear comes from thick, soft, foam-filled sealing rings that shape themselves around the ears, combined with a large internal cup space that avoids pressing directly on the ears. The wide, ventilated headband distributes clamping force across the top of the head rather than concentrating it at a single point, while a two-point adjustment mechanism lets the user set the headband force to their own preference.

Built without metal components, the Classic HPE is suitable for cleanroom and medical environments in addition to standard industrial and workshop settings. This model is finished in black and weighs 249 g, keeping it light enough for all-day use on the head without added fatigue.

ABOUT SORDIN

Sordin is a Swedish manufacturer of hearing protection, founded in the late 1970s out of Vikmanshyttans Plastfabrik following the development of one of the first dedicated hearing protectors for forestry workers. In 1987, the company launched the original Sordin Classic, establishing its passive earmuff line for industrial and professional safety use, and has since expanded into electronic and communication-integrated hearing protection for hunters, shooters, and military and professional users.

The company's product range spans passive earmuffs, electronic earmuffs with ambient sound reproduction, in-ear earplugs, and full communication systems for teams working in noisy environments. Sordin's product philosophy centers on protecting hearing without compromising the wearer's ability to communicate and stay aware of their surroundings, a focus the company sums up as "safety above the neck."
