Rusan Q-R adapter for ATN PS40

• Quick-release attachment: The Q-R design lets the ATN PS40 be mounted and removed quickly, which helps when a rifle needs to switch between day-only use and a clip-on thermal setup without a slow reconfiguration.
• ATN PS40-specific interface: Built for the ATN PS40 mounting standard, this adapter provides the correct connection point for the clip-on device, reducing guesswork when assembling a compatible hunting optics setup.
• Steel construction: A steel body gives the adapter the rigidity needed for repeatable alignment and dependable long-term use, especially on rifles that see regular field handling.
• Compact 100 g build: At 100.00 g, the adapter adds only modest weight to the front of the optic system, helping preserve the balance of the rifle compared with heavier mounting solutions.
• Purpose-built clip-on accessory: Designed for thermal clip-on use, it forms the mechanical link between the riflescope and the device, making it a practical part of a modular night hunting or observation setup.

About the Rusan Accessories Series

Rusan Accessories covers the company’s supporting hardware for riflescopes, clip-on devices, and mounting systems, with a strong focus on practical field use. Within this range, adapters and reduction rings for night-vision and thermal clip-on devices play an important role, giving shooters a way to connect dedicated devices to suitable day optics with the correct fit. The series includes both conventional and modular adapter systems, so it serves users who want either a straightforward dedicated setup or a more flexible arrangement for several rifles or devices.

A defining characteristic of the series is its emphasis on interchangeability and mechanical simplicity. Rusan’s modular concept is intended to let one clip-on device work across multiple riflescopes, or to pair different clip-on units with different rifles in a more organized way. The range also includes products made for specific night-vision and thermal-device systems, along with adapter accessories and spare parts. That makes the series particularly relevant for hunters and shooters who need a mounting solution that is easy to integrate into an existing optics setup rather than a one-off accessory with limited compatibility.

About the Rusan Q-R adapter for ATN PS40

The Rusan Q-R adapter for ATN PS40 is a dedicated mounting accessory for users who run the ATN PS40 as a thermal clip-on in front of a daytime riflescope. Its role is straightforward but important: it provides the mechanical connection that allows the clip-on device to be attached securely and removed quickly when conditions change. For hunters moving between daylight and low-light use, that quick-detach format is more practical than a slower fixed arrangement.

This model is built around the ATN PS40 mounting standard, so it is intended for a specific clip-on platform rather than broad universal use. That product-specific fit matters because clip-on systems depend on correct alignment and stable positioning in front of the riflescope. The steel construction supports that goal by giving the adapter the stiffness and durability expected from a part that must hold its position under regular field handling. At the same time, the adapter remains relatively manageable at 100.00 g, so it does not add unnecessary bulk to the front of the optical system.

As a thermal clip-on accessory, this Rusan adapter suits shooters who want a clean, purpose-built interface instead of improvised mounting solutions. It is especially relevant in hunting optics setups where repeatable attachment, robust material choice, and fast handling are more important than extra complexity.

About Rusan

Rusan-Mikron is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, Croatia, with roots in the Rusan family’s metalworking business dating to 1983. Željko Rusan opened a gunsmith shop in 1986, and the company began producing scope mounts in 1993, establishing the mechanical focus that still defines the brand. Its product range includes scope mounts, rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products, with a particularly strong presence in mounting hardware for sporting and hunting rifles.

Rusan is also well known for its work in the clip-on segment. The company produces adapter clamps for clip-on sights and adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices, and it introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009. That background is directly relevant to products such as the ATN PS40 adapter, where precise machining, secure fit, and practical handling matter more than unnecessary complexity.
