The Picatinny rail is made of steel. Unfortunately, we are unable to exactly comment on the length and the height of the rail since we don't have it in stock at the moment to perform the measurements. This rail has to slide onto the conical Dovetail of the Sako rifles.

The length of the rail is 160mm, the height is 9.5mm, and it is made out of steel.

To install the mount, the bases are firstly seperated from the rail. Loosen and remove the screws that are holding them together. Then the rear and the front bases are slid onto the dovetails on the rifle. The rail is then screwed onto the bases accordingly.
