Rudolph AR 1-8x24mm

• 1-8x LPVO versatility: The wide magnification range lets the scope work like a fast close-range optic at 1x and still provide enough reach for confident shot placement at mid distance.
• First focal plane AR1 reticle: Because the reticle stays in proportion as magnification changes, MIL references remain consistent for holdovers and corrections throughout the zoom range.
• Lockable tactical turrets: The turrets are built for deliberate adjustments while helping prevent accidental movement during transport, stage movement or field carry.
• Fully multicoated 24 mm optical system: The coatings support better contrast and light transmission, which helps the sight picture stay usable in mixed light and against darker targets.
• Compact 30 mm construction: The short overall length and moderate weight make this riflescope easier to balance on AR-platform rifles and other fast-handling carbines.

About the Rudolph Optics AR Series

The Rudolph Optics AR Series is built around the needs of shooters who want a practical low-power variable optic for hunting optics, competition shooting and tactical carbines. In Rudolph Optics' lineup, the AR family sits as a fast-handling platform for rifles that need quick target acquisition at short range without giving up useful magnification for longer shots. The series focuses on compact proportions, a 24 mm objective format and controls that suit rifles carried hard and used dynamically.

Within the series, the emphasis is on features that matter in real use: illuminated reticle options for low-light aiming, robust tube construction, and turret layouts that support either simple set-and-forget use or more active correction. The AR models are designed to give a broad field of view at low power, while still preserving enough precision at the top end for smaller targets and more exact shot placement. With multilayer lens coatings, nitrogen-filled construction and weather-resistant design, the AR series is aimed at shooters who need one optic to cover close work, driven hunts, practical rifle stages and general-purpose carbine use.

About the Rudolph AR 1-8x24mm

The Rudolph AR 1-8x24mm is a true LPVO-style riflescope built for shooters who need one optic to bridge close and intermediate distances. At 1-8x magnification, it can be used quickly on low power for moving targets, multiple-target stages and fast positional shooting, then dialed up for more precise aiming when distance increases. Its 24 mm objective lens and fully multicoated optical system help maintain a clear, contrast-rich image while keeping the scope trim enough for AR-platform rifles and other lightweight carbines.

This model stands out for its AR1 FFP IR reticle in the first focal plane. In practice, that means the reticle's MIL-based subtensions remain valid across the zoom range, which is useful when holding for drop or wind without being tied to one specific magnification setting. The illuminated red reticle adds visibility in dimmer conditions, while the fixed parallax setting at 91.44 m keeps operation simple and fast for general-purpose use.

The mechanical layout also suits active shooting. Its lockable tactical turrets provide 0.10 MIL clicks for straightforward correction, and the single-turn design keeps adjustments easy to track. A 30 mm tube, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction support reliable field use in changing weather and on rifles that see regular transport and recoil. At 261.62 mm and 535.24 g, it stays compact enough for a balanced rifle setup.

About Rudolph Optics

Rudolph Optics lists its head office in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The company focuses on sporting optics and offers a broad catalog that includes riflescopes, binoculars, rangefinders, red dot sights and night-vision optics. Its riflescope range spans several families, including the AR, H1, H2, V1, VH, T1 and OPS series, which shows a clear focus on covering different shooting roles from general hunting to competition-oriented use.

The brand describes its optics as intended for hunting and competition shooting, and it states that its products use multilayer lens coatings. That combination of field-oriented design and broad category coverage makes Rudolph Optics particularly relevant in riflescopes, where practical reticle layouts, durable construction and usable optical performance matter more than unnecessary complexity.
