Riton X1 Primal 4-16x44

• 4-16x magnification range: Covers the span from shorter woodland shots to more deliberate longer-range holds, so one hunting riflescope can handle varied terrain without feeling over-specialized.
• 44 mm objective with fully multi-coated optics: Helps deliver a bright, usable image in the low-light periods when game is often moving, while coatings support contrast and reduce distracting glare.
• Second focal plane RUT reticle: Keeps the reticle visually consistent through the zoom range, making the sight picture easy to read at higher magnification and uncluttered at lower power.
• Capped 1/4 MOA turrets with side parallax: Protects adjustments from accidental movement in the field while still allowing precise zeroing and sharper target focus from 9.1 m - inf.
• Shockproof, waterproof and fogproof construction: Built for practical hunting use in changing weather, with a nitrogen-filled tube that helps maintain a clear internal view when temperatures shift.

About the Riton X1 Series

The Riton X1 series sits in the brand’s more accessible hunting-focused range and was introduced as part of the Primal line in 2020. In this family, the emphasis is on straightforward field use rather than competition-style complexity, which makes the series well suited to hunters who want dependable magnification, simple controls and a familiar layout. The X1 Primal riflescopes were offered in practical configurations such as 3-9x40, 4-12x50 and 4-16x44, covering common stalking and general-purpose hunting roles.

Across the series, Riton describes the design around fully multi-coated optics, an integrated magnification throw lever and capped, zero-resettable turrets. That combination reflects a clear design philosophy: keep the scope easy to carry, quick to adjust and resistant to accidental turret movement in rough country. Compared with the company’s Conquer line, which is positioned more toward long-range shooting, the X1 Primal series stays focused on practical hunting distances, clean sight pictures and uncomplicated operation. For shooters who want a traditional riflescope format with useful magnification and field-friendly controls, the X1 series fills that role neatly.

About the Riton X1 Primal 4-16x44

The Riton X1 Primal 4-16x44 is a versatile hunting riflescope built for shooters who need more top-end magnification than a basic deer scope, but still want a compact and uncomplicated setup. Its 4-16x range gives enough flexibility for closer shots at the low end and more precise aiming across open ground at the high end, making it a sensible fit for mixed terrain hunting. The 44 mm objective lens and fully multicoated optical system support a bright, clear image, especially in the first and last light periods when visibility matters most.

This model uses the RUT reticle in the second focal plane, so the reticle keeps the same apparent size as magnification changes. In practice, that makes the aiming point easy to pick up quickly at lower power and still clean enough for deliberate shot placement when zoomed in. Because the reticle is non-illuminated, the scope remains simple, light on controls and free from battery dependence.

Mechanically, the scope is configured for practical field use. Capped turrets help prevent accidental adjustment while moving through brush or carrying the rifle slung, while the 1/4 MOA click value allows precise zeroing. The side-focus parallax adjustment from 9.1 m - inf helps keep the target image sharp and reduces aiming error at varying distances. With a 25.4 mm tube, 100.00 mm eye relief and a weight of 623.00 g, it stays within the familiar format many hunting rifles are already set up to carry well.

About Riton

Riton Optics was founded in 2013, with its first consumer sales beginning in 2016. The company is based in Tucson, Arizona, United States, and focuses on sporting optics such as riflescopes, red-dot sights and binoculars. Within its lineup, Riton organizes products into named families including Primal, Tactix and Conquer, each aimed at a different style of use, from hunting to more tactical or longer-range applications.

For this category, Riton is particularly relevant for offering traditional riflescope formats with practical feature sets and modern lens treatments. The company notes the use of fully multi-coated lenses with anti-reflective coatings across its optics, and in some models it also uses high-density and extra-low-dispersion glass. That combination shows a clear focus on balancing usable optical performance, familiar handling and purpose-driven product segmentation rather than treating every riflescope as a one-size-fits-all design.
