Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 Product description

  • 1280x1024 thermal sensor: The high-resolution sensor shows finer heat detail at base magnification and holds image definition better as zoom increases, which helps with target recognition and terrain reading at longer distances.
  • 2x to 16x magnification range: A low 2x starting point gives broad situational awareness, while the extended digital zoom range supports closer inspection when scanning fields, woodland edges, or open ground.
  • Integrated 1500 m laser rangefinder: Built-in distance measurement adds immediate range data without changing devices, making it easier to judge holdover, confirm target position, and navigate in the dark.
  • Classic binocular form with dual-eye viewing: The Merger layout reduces viewing fatigue during long observation sessions and feels more natural in the hands than a single-eyepiece thermal monocular.
  • Magnesium housing with weather-resistant construction: The light but rigid body helps keep weight manageable for field use while supporting reliable operation in rain, fog, and low temperatures.

About the Pulsar Merger Series

The Pulsar Merger series is built around a classic daytime-binocular shape, giving thermal observation a more familiar and comfortable format for extended use. Within Pulsar’s range, the series sits as a premium binocular platform for users who need prolonged scanning, better depth perception from a two-eye viewing position, and a layout that remains steady in the hands during field observation. Pulsar positions the line for night hunting, observation, trail orientation, hazard identification, and rescue work, where long sessions and rapid target detection matter as much as image quality.

Across the family, the thermal channel is designed for day and night use without an external light source, and it remains effective in adverse conditions such as fog and rain where conventional optics are limited. The Merger range includes Merger LRF thermal binoculars with an integrated laser rangefinder, while the Merger Duo models add a digital night-vision channel instead. This gives the series a clear identity: binocular ergonomics, field-focused thermal performance, and model-specific configurations for users who either prioritize pure thermal observation or want added ranging capability in the same housing.

About the Pulsar Merger LRF XT50

The Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 is the highest-resolution thermal binocular in the current Merger LRF line, combining a 1280x1024 / 12 μm uncooled sensor with a 50 mm F1.0 objective lens for detailed thermal observation over long distances. Its 2300.00 m detection range makes it suitable for wide-area scanning, while the broad 17.50 ° field of view at base magnification helps track movement and maintain awareness of what is happening around the target area rather than only on it.

The 2.00 x base magnification is practical for searching and following moving heat signatures, and the zoom range up to 16.00 x gives the user more image scale when it is time to inspect shape, spacing, or behavior at distance. A 50.00 Hz refresh rate keeps motion looking natural during panning, and the 40.00 mK NETD supports better separation of subtle temperature differences when the scene has low thermal contrast.

The integrated 1500.00 m laser rangefinder adds precise distance data with +/- 1 m accuracy, which is useful for judging terrain, confirming observation points, and making more informed decisions in the field. The binocular uses a 1280x960 AMOLED display and supports image capture, video recording, video output, and WiFi connectivity, so observations can be documented and shared when needed. Its magnesium housing, 950.00 g weight, and operating range of -25°C to +40°C underline that this is a field device intended for regular use in difficult weather rather than occasional short-range viewing.

About Pulsar

Pulsar’s corporate history dates to 1991, when a group of enthusiasts began making observation devices. The brand itself launched in 2009 with the Digisight N550 digital night-vision riflescope, and it is part of Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide, a high-technology group headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania. Pulsar develops optical and electro-optical devices for daytime use, digital night vision, and thermal imaging, with product categories that include riflescopes, binoculars, monoculars, clip-on attachments, and multispectral devices.

Its development history is closely tied to thermal imaging. The Quantum, introduced in 2012, was Pulsar’s first thermal-imaging monocular, followed by the Apex in 2014 as its first thermal-imaging riflescope. That background is relevant to the Merger LRF XT50 because it places the binocular within a long-running product ecosystem focused on practical field observation, digital imaging, and dedicated thermal devices rather than conventional glass optics alone.

Image stabilization ????
Stabilizacija slike ????

by MARJAN HABIC

Dear Sir or Madam,

Yes, the Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 thermal imaging binoculars feature built-in digital image stabilization.

This is the first Pulsar device to include this feature. Stabilization is made possible by a high-resolution sensor (1280 × 1024), which effectively reduces image shake, especially at higher magnification levels.

This feature is most useful with the digital zoom, where it provides a steadier image and makes it easier to identify targets at greater distances.

You can easily turn stabilization on or off in the quick menu or by pressing and holding the UP/ZOOM button.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please email us at [email protected].

Best regards,
