Pixfra Ranger R635 Product description

  • 640x512 VOx sensor: The higher detector resolution gives the Pixfra Ranger R635 a cleaner thermal image with more target detail, which helps when identifying animals or heat sources instead of only detecting them.
  • 12 μm pixel pitch and 30.00 mK NETD: This combination improves fine thermal separation in difficult weather and low-contrast scenes, making subtle temperature differences easier to read in rain, fog, or cold conditions.
  • 35.00 mm F 1.0 objective lens: The fast lens gathers more thermal energy and supports the unit’s 1800.00 m detection range, giving the monocular useful reach for scanning open ground and field edges.
  • 1440x1080 OLED display: A high-resolution OLED screen presents the thermal image with strong contrast and a more natural viewing experience, reducing the coarse look that can make long observation sessions tiring.
  • Compact 400.00 g housing: With its light weight, IP67-class series protection, and operating range down to -30°C, the Ranger format is easy to carry for long periods and practical for demanding outdoor use.

About the Pixfra Ranger Series

Pixfra Ranger is a family of handheld thermal monoculars built for outdoor exploration, hunting and wildlife observation. Within Pixfra’s thermal lineup, the series covers several sensor and lens combinations, including 384 × 288 and 640 × 512 detector options, so users can choose between wider-area scanning and greater image detail. Across the range, Ranger models use uncooled vanadium oxide detectors with 12 μm pixel pitch and sensitivity of ≤30 mK at f/1.0, a specification set that is aimed at showing smaller temperature differences more clearly in difficult conditions.

The series also shares a 1440 × 1080 OLED display, giving the image a crisp, high-contrast presentation that suits extended observation. Ranger monoculars are designed as practical field tools rather than bulky static devices, with a compact handheld format, IP67 protection, and operation down to −30 °C. Pixfra also equips the series with multiple viewing palettes, including white hot, black hot, alarm, iron red, jade and amber, allowing the image to be adapted to terrain, target type and user preference. In use, the Ranger line is positioned as a versatile thermal monocular series for users who need dependable detection performance in changing weather and light conditions.

About the Pixfra Ranger R635

Pixfra Ranger R635 is the 640x512, 35.00 mm configuration in the Ranger family, balancing image detail, field coverage and practical detection reach for handheld thermal observation. Its native 2.05 x magnification keeps the image useful for scanning while still giving enough apparent target size for more confident identification than lower-resolution entry models. Combined with a 12.40 ° field of view, it works well for searching woodland edges, open fields, tracks and mixed terrain where both awareness and detail matter.

The thermal core uses a VOx uncooled sensor with 12.00 μm pixel pitch, 30.00 mK NETD and a 50.00 Hz refresh rate. In practice, that means smoother viewing when panning and a better ability to separate animals, people or residual heat signatures from the background when temperature contrast is weak. The 35.00 mm F 1.0 lens supports a stated 1800.00 m detection range, making the monocular suitable for long-distance spotting before moving closer for confirmation.

Viewing comfort is helped by the 1440x1080 OLED display, 25.00 mm eye relief and -4/+5 dpt diopter adjustment, which make the image easier to tune to the user’s eyesight. The monocular also records still images and video, provides video output, includes Wifi connectivity, and uses 32 GB built-in EMMC storage for saving observations without extra accessories. At 400.00 g and roughly 199.80 mm long, it remains easy to carry, while the waterproof, fogproof build and 6.50 h battery life support real field use in cold and wet conditions.

About Pixfra

Pixfra is the outdoor brand of Zhejiang Pixfra Technology Co., Ltd., based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. The company develops thermal imaging modules, cores, outdoor products, cameras and related solutions, which places thermal technology at the center of its product development rather than treating it as a side category. Its outdoor range includes thermal monoculars, thermal scopes, thermal front attachments, multispectral binoculars and digital day-and-night scopes, showing a broad focus on observation and hunting optics.

Within this lineup, Pixfra organizes its handheld thermal products into lines such as Mile, Mile 2 and Arc, while also applying its own image-processing approach in products such as the Mile 2 series with PIPS 2.0. Across the brand’s outdoor thermal devices, Pixfra identifies hunting, outdoor exploration and animal observation as key applications, which is consistent with the practical, field-oriented design of the Ranger series.
