Pixfra Ranger R425 Product description

  • 384×288 VOx sensor with 12 μm pixel pitch: Delivers a clear thermal image while keeping the unit compact and easy to carry, making it well suited to scanning fields, woodland edges, and open ground without the bulk of a larger device.
  • ≤30 mK sensitivity and F1.0 25 mm lens: Helps the monocular pick up small temperature differences, so animals, heat signatures, and terrain details remain easier to separate in damp, cold, or low-contrast conditions.
  • 1440×1080 OLED display: Presents a sharp, high-contrast viewing image that makes prolonged observation more comfortable and helps with quicker target recognition when moving between cover and open terrain.
  • 1300 m detection range: Gives the Ranger R425 enough reach for early spotting and route planning, allowing the user to detect heat sources well before closing distance for identification.
  • IP67-rated housing and up to 7.5-hour battery life: Supports dependable field use in rain, dust, and low temperatures while reducing the need to interrupt observation for charging or battery changes.

About the Pixfra Ranger Series

Pixfra Ranger is a family of handheld thermal monoculars built for outdoor exploration, hunting, and wildlife observation. The series currently includes the R425, R435, R625, R635, and R650, giving users a choice between 384 × 288 and 640 × 512 detector formats while keeping the same compact monocular layout. Across the range, Ranger models use uncooled vanadium oxide detectors with 12 μm pixel pitch and sensitivity of ≤30 mK at f/1.0, a combination aimed at balancing image detail, thermal sensitivity, and practical portability.

All listed Ranger models use a 1440 × 1080 OLED display, which gives the series a consistent viewing experience with strong contrast and clear image presentation. Pixfra positions the Ranger line as a straightforward field tool rather than a large observation platform: light enough for one-handed use, robust enough for poor weather, and simple enough for quick scanning. The series also offers white hot, black hot, alarm, iron red, jade, and amber palettes, allowing the image to be adapted to terrain, background temperature, and user preference. With IP67 protection and operation down to −30 °C, the Ranger series is designed for regular use in demanding outdoor conditions.

About the Pixfra Ranger R425

The Pixfra Ranger R425 is the most compact-style configuration in the Ranger family for users who want a practical balance of reach, field of view, and carrying comfort in a handheld thermal monocular. Its 2.34x optical magnification and 25 mm F1.0 objective lens make it well suited to general observation, short- to mid-range spotting, and continuous scanning where a wider view is often more useful than high base magnification. With a 191.70 m/1000 m field of view, the R425 covers ground efficiently, which is especially helpful when tracking movement across woodland edges, fields, or broken terrain.

At the core of the unit is a 384×288 VOx uncooled thermal sensor with 12.00 μm pixel pitch, 30.00 mK NETD, and a 50.00 Hz refresh rate. In practice, this means the image remains responsive when panning and better able to show subtle heat differences when the scene itself has little thermal contrast. The 1440×1080 OLED display gives the viewed image a crisp, high-contrast appearance, while the available image and video recording functions make it useful not only for observation but also for documenting sightings. Built-in WiFi connectivity adds an easy way to connect the device for sharing or remote viewing.

The R425 is also designed for regular field carry. Its 400.00 g weight and compact 190.50 mm length keep it manageable in a pocket, pouch, or chest rig, while the IP67-rated waterproof and fogproof construction supports use in rain, cold, and changing temperatures. A battery life of 7.50 h, together with rechargeable power and USB power support, makes the monocular suitable for longer outings where reliability matters as much as image quality.

About Pixfra

Pixfra is the outdoor brand of Zhejiang Pixfra Technology Co., Ltd., based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. The company focuses on thermal imaging technology and develops thermal imaging modules, cores, outdoor products, cameras, and related solutions. Within its outdoor range, Pixfra covers several categories relevant to hunting optics and observation equipment, including thermal monoculars, thermal scopes, thermal front attachments, multispectral binoculars, and digital day-and-night scopes.

This product background matters because Pixfra is not limited to one device type; it builds around a broader thermal platform. Its outdoor lineup identifies hunting, outdoor exploration, and animal observation as key applications, and its catalog includes dedicated monocular lines such as Mile, Mile 2, Arc, and Ranger. That specialization gives the brand a clear focus in handheld and weapon-oriented thermal imaging rather than general consumer electronics.
