Pachmayr Slip-On Grip Large-With Finger Grooves

• Slip-on fit for large-frame pistols: The large-size design is made for standard large semi-automatic pistols with double-stack magazines, giving shooters a simple way to add grip coverage without replacing factory panels.
• Finger-groove front strap: The molded finger grooves help index the hand consistently, which improves control during rapid strings and makes the pistol feel more secure under recoil.
• Richly textured rubber surface: The textured exterior improves purchase with dry, wet, or sweaty hands, helping maintain a steadier hold in range, defensive, or field use.
• Palm-swell contour: The grip shape fills the hand better than a bare frame, which can reduce fatigue and make extended shooting sessions more comfortable.
• Trim-to-fit flexibility: Molded trim lines allow the grip to be adjusted for a cleaner custom fit on compatible pistols, making it easier to adapt the sleeve to individual frame shapes.

About the Pachmayr Accessories Series

Pachmayr Accessories covers a broad range of firearm support products, from handgun and revolver grips to rifle grips and recoil pads. Within that lineup, Pachmayr’s pistol-grip options span simple slip-on rubber designs, G10 Tactical models, and Renegade laminate styles, giving shooters different ways to tune handling, feel, and appearance. The series is aimed at practical use rather than cosmetic change alone, with products built to improve purchase, comfort, and control on working firearms.

For handgun users in particular, the series is known for grip designs that address real handling needs: better traction, more consistent hand placement, and a fuller hold on compact or service-size frames. Slip-on models are especially useful for shooters who want added control without permanent modification, while more dedicated replacement grips serve revolver and pistol platforms with model-specific shaping. Across the range, rubber textures, finger-groove options, and hand-filling contours are recurring themes, reflecting Pachmayr’s long-standing focus on recoil management and practical shooting ergonomics.

About the Pachmayr Slip-On Grip Large-With Finger Grooves

The Pachmayr Slip-On Grip Large-With Finger Grooves is a handgun grip sleeve built for large-frame semi-automatic pistols, especially standard models with double-stack magazines. Its main advantage is straightforward: it adds traction and shape to the grip frame without requiring permanent alteration to the pistol. That makes it a practical choice for shooters who want a more secure hold for range use, defensive training, or general handling, while keeping installation simple.

The rubber body uses a richly textured surface to improve grip in changing conditions, including sweaty hands or fast shooting strings where a smooth frame can start to shift. The finger-groove front helps position the hand in a repeatable way, which can support more consistent trigger reach and steadier recoil control. Palm-swell shaping further improves the feel in the hand by giving the shooter a fuller gripping surface than a bare polymer or metal frame.

This model also benefits from the practical flexibility typical of Pachmayr slip-on designs. Molded trim lines allow fitting adjustments where needed, helping the sleeve sit more cleanly on compatible pistols. For shooters using service-size handguns, especially polymer-frame models, that combination of adaptable fit, added texture, and improved hand indexing makes this grip a useful upgrade focused on control rather than bulk.

About Pachmayr

Pachmayr was founded by Frank Pachmayr in 1929 and has long been associated with practical firearm accessories for shooters, hunters, and gunsmiths. The company built its name on products such as handgun grips, recoil pads, and gunsmithing tools, with a strong emphasis on improving handling and reducing felt recoil in real use. Pachmayr introduced its first recoil pad in 1949, and its rubber handgun grips reached the market in the early 1960s, helping establish the brand in this category.

Over time, the range expanded to include well-known grip families such as Diamond Pro, G10, Renegade, and American Legend, alongside recoil-reducing products that use Decelerator material. Pachmayr joined Lyman in 1996, and the brand remains closely identified with durable shooting accessories designed around function, fit, and control.
