Osuma Picatinny Rail, Tikka M65 Product description

  • Model-specific fit: Made for the Tikka M65, this rail gives the rifle a stable Picatinny interface for modern optics and sight mounts without relying on less flexible legacy mounting options.
  • 0 MOA profile: The 0 MOA inclination keeps the optic in a neutral mounting position, which suits general hunting and sporting setups where a straightforward zero is preferred.
  • Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight down while still providing the rigidity needed for repeatable optic alignment and dependable day-to-day field use.
  • Made in Finland: Finnish manufacture reflects Osuma’s focus on precise rifle-mounting components, giving this rail the consistent fit and machining quality that matter when mounting an optic securely.
  • Black finish: The black surface keeps the rail visually discreet on the rifle and adds a practical protective finish for regular outdoor use.

About the Osuma Picatinny Rails Series

Osuma Picatinny Rails are a family of aftermarket mounting rails built to give specific rifle models a practical Picatinny mounting platform for modern optics and accessories. Within the Osuma lineup, this series focuses on shooters who want a model-specific base rather than a one-size-fits-all solution. The range covers several rifle makes, including Tikka, Sauer, Sako, CZ, Mauser, Howa and Remington, with dedicated versions shaped around the receiver dimensions of each platform.

A key characteristic of the series is its emphasis on compatibility and mounting flexibility. In the Tikka range alone, Osuma lists rails for T3/T3x, T1x, M55 and M65, and selected models are also offered with a 20 MOA tilt for shooters who need extra elevation for longer-range setups. This particular series is made in Finland, and its role is straightforward: provide a durable, precisely fitted interface between rifle and optic. For hunting rifles and general sporting rifles alike, that means easier access to a wider choice of riflescope rings, red-dot mounts and other Picatinny-compatible accessories.

About the Osuma Picatinny Rail, Tikka M65

The Osuma Picatinny Rail, Tikka M65 is a dedicated mounting base for shooters who want to equip the classic Tikka M65 with optics that use the widely adopted Picatinny standard. Its main advantage is practical rather than cosmetic: by converting the rifle to a Picatinny interface, it broadens the choice of compatible rings and optic mounts, making it easier to configure the rifle for hunting, target use or a general-purpose scoped setup.

The rail uses an aluminium construction, which helps keep the rifle from gaining unnecessary top-side weight while still providing the stiffness needed for secure optic mounting. That matters in the field because a lighter mounting base helps preserve the rifle’s handling balance, while a rigid base supports consistent sight alignment. The black finish keeps the installation understated and adds a practical protective surface for regular use.

This version has a 0 MOA inclination, so it keeps the scope in a neutral position relative to the bore. For many traditional hunting and sporting applications, that is the most straightforward choice, especially when the goal is a simple zeroing process and a conventional distance setup rather than a specialized long-range elevation bias. As part of Osuma’s Finland-made mounting range, this rail is built around model-specific fit, which is exactly what matters most in a rifle base: secure attachment, proper alignment and dependable compatibility with Picatinny-mounted optics.

About Osuma

Osuma is a Finland-based brand focused primarily on rifle scope mounting. Its history goes back to the early 1990s, when the owner developed the first scope mounts for his own hunting and benchrest shooting needs. That practical origin still defines the brand’s product philosophy: build mounting solutions around real rifle use rather than generic hardware.

Today, Osuma designs and manufactures its products in Finland, and the company has passed from father to son. Its range includes scope mounts, scope rings, rail mounts, red-dot and holosight mounts, suppressors and accessories such as the Trigger Widener. Across the lineup, Osuma is especially known for offering mounting solutions for several attachment standards, including 11 mm, Tikka 17 mm, Sako, Picatinny, Optilock and Blaser. That specialization makes the brand particularly relevant to shooters looking for model-specific mounting parts rather than universal compromises.

Does this rail allow the use of iron sights if scope is removed?

by Stefan

Dear Stefan,

thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately, is hard to determine if the sights will be usable with the picatinny rail mounted.

Because the rail doesn't have a groove in the middle we think the sight might not be usable.

Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Kind regards.

Hello to all, I would like to install a bipod on my Tikka M65. Now there is a mounting rail on the bottom and side of the gun, which mounting method do I have to take here to mount a bipod? There is no attachment eyelet for a sling on the weapon, since it is the Sporter version. Do you offer something here with which I can realize this? Thanks for the reply in advance. Regards Harry
