Minox X-Tour 10x34 Product description

  • 10x34 configuration: The 10x magnification gives more reach for picking out detail at distance, while the 34 mm objective size keeps the binocular compact enough for travel, day hikes, stalking, and general field carry.
  • ED lens system: ED glass helps control color fringing and improves contrast, which makes fine detail easier to separate against branches, reeds, or uneven backgrounds in daylight observation.
  • Magnesium housing: The magnesium body keeps weight to 500.00 g while adding rigidity, so the binocular feels light in the hand without giving up the durability expected from regular outdoor use.
  • IPX-7 waterproof and nitrogen filled: The sealed, fogproof construction helps the binocular stay usable through rain, damp mornings, and temperature changes, reducing the risk of internal fogging in the field.
  • Central focusing with +/- 5 diopter adjustment: Fast central focus speeds up target acquisition, while the broad diopter range helps users fine-tune the image to their eyesight for a sharper view without strain.

About the Minox X-TOUR Series

The Minox X-TOUR series sits in the brand’s compact binocular range and is built for users who want a practical balance of portability, durability, and clear viewing performance. MINOX positions the line for hunting use such as stalking and observation from cover, but the format also suits nature observation and birdwatching where low weight and easy handling matter. Across the series, the design stays consistent: a compact roof-prism layout, ED lenses for improved color correction, and a magnesium housing that keeps the binoculars light without making them feel fragile.

The X-TOUR family is also defined by field-ready construction. All models are nitrogen purged and rated IPX7 waterproof, which makes them suitable for wet weather, changing temperatures, and regular outdoor transport. The range includes six versions, pairing 8x or 10x magnification with 26 mm, 34 mm, or 42 mm objective lenses, so users can choose between maximum compactness and a larger, brighter viewing format. The series is known for a high-contrast, vivid, sharp image, with specifications aimed at practical daytime use rather than oversized dimensions.

About the Minox X-Tour 10x34

The Minox X-Tour 10x34 is the longer-reaching compact model in the mid-size part of the X-TOUR line. Its 10x magnification is well suited to users who regularly observe at greater distances and want more image scale than an 8x binocular can provide, whether that means scanning open ground, checking detail on wildlife, or following birds across wider spaces. At the same time, the 34.00 mm objective lenses keep the body noticeably smaller and easier to carry than a full-size 42 mm binocular, which makes this model a sensible choice when pack space and weight matter.

In practical use, the binocular combines reach with a manageable carry weight of 500.00 g and compact dimensions of 112.00 mm in length. The 113.00 m/1000m field of view gives enough width for general observation while still favoring detail recognition, and the 3.40 mm exit pupil supports a bright, comfortable image in normal daylight conditions. ED optics help keep the image clean and well defined, while the stated light transmission values support contrast during daytime use and into lower light at the edges of the day.

The handling is straightforward and field-oriented. A central focusing system allows quick adjustment as viewing distances change, and the +/- 5 diopter range helps adapt the binocular to individual eyesight. The magnesium body, IPX-7 waterproofing, and nitrogen-filled fogproof construction make the X-Tour 10x34 suitable for regular outdoor use in rain, cold mornings, and changing weather, while the single-hinge design keeps the shape slim and easy to grip.

About Minox

MINOX GmbH was founded in 1945 in Wetzlar, Germany, and the company later became known in sport optics as well as in cameras. Engineer Walter Zapp designed the first MINOX miniature-camera prototype in 1936, and that engineering background remained part of the brand’s identity as the company expanded into observation products. MINOX entered the sport-optics market in the 1990s and today develops binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, night-vision devices, and wildlife cameras.

After separating from Leica Camera AG in 2005, MINOX continued as an independent company and later joined the Blaser Group in 2013. The company relocated to Isny, Germany, on February 1, 2020. In hunting and observation optics, MINOX is known for practical designs that combine compact dimensions with durable construction, and product families such as the ZP riflescopes helped strengthen its reputation in the field.
