Minox Long Range 5-25x56

• 5-25x magnification range: This zoom span gives the scope enough low-end field of view for target acquisition and observation, while the 25x top end provides the precision needed for long-range shot placement and detailed spotting.
• First focal plane LR reticle: Because the reticle scales with magnification, holdover and wind references stay true throughout the zoom range, which is especially useful for practical long-range and tactical shooting.
• 34 mm tube with 28.00 mrad elevation: The large tube and generous adjustment range provide the travel needed for dialing at extended distances, helping the scope suit rifles set up for serious long-range work.
• Tactical double-turn turrets with Zero Stop: The exposed turrets are built for frequent dialing, while the double-turn layout and zero stop make it easier to return quickly and confidently to the original zero under field pressure.
• 56 mm objective with fully multicoated optics: The large objective and coated lenses support a bright, high-contrast image, which helps when reading mirage, spotting impacts, or shooting in poor light.

About the Minox Long-Range Series

The Minox Long-Range series sits in the brand’s riflescope lineup as a purpose-built option for shooters who need a dedicated optic for long-range and precision shooting. Rather than being tuned as a general hunting scope, this series focuses on the features that matter when distances increase: a first focal plane reticle, exposed tactical turrets, broad elevation travel, and a mechanical layout designed for repeatable dialing. That makes it relevant for target shooting, practical rifle use, and hunting setups where precise corrections are part of the shot process.

Optically, the series combines a large objective lens with fully multicoated glass to maintain image brightness, contrast, and edge definition at higher magnifications, where weaker optics often become more difficult to use. The design also emphasizes a forgiving 90 mm eye relief and side parallax adjustment for better image focus at varying distances. Mechanically, the Long-Range models use a 34 mm main tube and tactical turret architecture to provide the adjustment range and handling expected from a serious long-range riflescope. The result is a series built around practical shot correction, reticle-based holds, and stable optical performance at distance.

About the Minox Long Range 5-25x56

The Minox Long Range 5-25x56 is the dedicated high-magnification model in the series, built for shooters who want one riflescope to cover load development, target shooting, and extended-range field use. Its 5-25x magnification range gives it a broad working envelope: 5x remains useful for scanning and getting onto target, while 25x offers the image scale needed for precise aiming, reading target detail, and making fine corrections at long distance. The 56.00 mm objective helps preserve image brightness as magnification rises, which is valuable when shooting in fading light or trying to resolve detail against dark backgrounds.

This model uses an illuminated first focal plane LR reticle, so the reticle’s subtensions remain consistent across the zoom range. In practice, that means holdovers and wind holds can be used at any magnification instead of only at one preset power. The red illumination is daylight-usable, and the auto shut-off function helps conserve the CR2032 battery during transport or pauses on the firing line.

For dialing, the scope combines 0.10 MIL clicks with tactical double-turn turrets and a Zero Stop system. This setup is well suited to repeated elevation changes, because it gives clear correction values and a reliable return point after longer shot strings. The side parallax adjustment from 50 m to infinity helps remove aiming error and sharpen the target image at varying distances, while the 34 mm tube, nitrogen-filled construction, IPX-7 waterproofing, and shockproof build support hard use on rifles intended for demanding range or field conditions.

About Minox

MINOX GmbH was founded in Wetzlar, Germany, in 1945, and the company later expanded from its well-known camera heritage into sporting optics. Engineer Walter Zapp designed the first MINOX miniature-camera prototype in 1936, establishing the technical roots of the brand long before its current riflescopes and field optics appeared. In the sport-optics market, MINOX built its name with products for hunters and shooters, including binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, night-vision devices, and wildlife cameras.

The company entered the sport-optics market in the 1990s, and the ZP riflescope series helped strengthen its standing among users looking for serious hunting and shooting optics. MINOX became an independent company after separating from Leica Camera AG in 2005, joined the Blaser Group in 2013, and relocated to Isny, Germany, on February 1, 2020. That background gives the brand a mix of German optical tradition and a clear focus on practical field and shooting applications.
