Meprolight Tru-Dot for Sig Sauer 9mm & 357

• Self-illuminated tritium system: The Meprolight Tru-Dot sight picture stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready at any hour with no switches to manage.
• Three-dot alignment: The 3-dot layout gives a familiar front-and-rear reference that helps the eye center the sights quickly, which is useful for defensive shooting and fast presentation from the holster.
• Fixed steel construction: A steel sight set with a fixed configuration keeps the setup simple and durable, reducing the chance of losing zero through hard daily carry or duty use.
• Square rear sight: The square rear notch supports a clean, repeatable sight picture, helping the front dot stand out clearly for faster alignment under stress.
• Direct replacement format: Built as a replacement sight set for compatible Sig Sauer 9mm & .357 pistols, it upgrades low-light capability while preserving the handling of the original handgun platform.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s established family of self-illuminated handgun night sights, built for shooters who want a simple aiming system that works the same way in daylight, dim interiors, and nighttime conditions. The series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height variants, which allows it to cover standard carry pistols, handguns that need rear-sight adjustment, and taller setups intended for suppressor use.

A defining trait of the series is its three-dot sight picture, designed to keep the aiming reference consistent across changing light conditions. The tritium illumination remains visible without batteries, so the sights are always active and require no electronic controls. Across the range, Tru-Dot models are intended as replacement front and rear sights for compatible pistols from multiple manufacturers. Some versions are also offered with different tritium dot color combinations, giving shooters options in how the front and rear dots are visually separated. In practical use, the series focuses on fast alignment, uncomplicated operation, and a durable metal sighting system suited to defensive carry, service pistols, and general-purpose handgun use.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Sig Sauer 9mm & 357

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Sig Sauer 9mm & 357 is a fixed tritium night sight set made for shooters who want a dependable iron-sight upgrade on compatible Sig Sauer pistols chambered in 9mm and .357. Its main advantage is consistency: the sight picture remains familiar in bright daylight, transitional light, and darkness, so there is no need to adapt to a different aiming reference as conditions change.

The self-illuminated design is especially useful on a defensive handgun because it keeps the sights visible without batteries, charging, or activation. That matters on a pistol that may be carried daily, stored for home defense, or used in professional roles where immediate readiness is important. The 3-dot alignment helps the shooter pick up the front sight quickly, while the square rear sight gives a clean notch that supports precise centering for controlled shots.

Its steel construction adds the durability expected from a hard-use handgun sight set, and the fixed arrangement keeps the system straightforward with no external adjustments to snag or shift in routine carry. At 100.00 g, the sight set remains a compact upgrade focused on visibility and robustness rather than added complexity. For Sig Sauer owners who want a practical day-and-night iron sight solution, this model emphasizes fast acquisition, constant readiness, and a familiar sight picture that works under real carry conditions.
